Fall 2003 Week 13 Robo-RecapThe thirteenth week of Fall 2003 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (222) and series (563) for the women. As for the men, Pat Searcy snagged this week's high game with a 232, and high series was earned by Ken M. Wilson with a 631. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Bowlers of Mass Confusion shared a platter of cheese sticks with Bowl me Ishmael!. Notwithstanding the leadership of Jason Carpio with his 485 series, Mass Confusion accomplished only 1 win against Ishmael. In the meantime, Michael Basham called the shots for Ishmael with his above-average 460 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlers of Mass Confusion remains in 2nd place, while Ishmael remains in 3rd.

week13On lanes 17 & 18: Spare Change accepted a challenge by Gutter Minds. Though featuring Bill Krejci with his above-average 524 series, Spare Change got swept by Gutter Minds. On the other half of the score sheet, Pat Searcy drew the spotlight in Gutter Minds with his above-average 619 as they swept the competition. Spare Change remains in 8th place, while Gutter Minds move 1 spot to 6th.

On lanes 19 & 20: Wolverines kept stealing sips of beer from Theee Beeelt. Topped by Thomas Lin with his above-average 575 series, the Wolverines collected 3 wins against Theee Beeelt. On the other side, Aaron Weidner shined in Theee Beeelt with his above-average 516 despite his team notching only a single win. Wolverines leap 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Theee Beeelt sinks 1 spot to 5th.

Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Atomic Goo did battle with Anchors Aweigh!. In spite of top-billing by Phil Schroeder with his above-average 442 series, Atomic Goo got swept by the Anchors. Meanwhile, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Ken M. Wilson took the lead in the Anchors with his terrific 631 as they swept the competition. Atomic Goo drops 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while the Anchors remain in 1st.

New personal best series were rolled tonight by Ken M. Wilson (631, previous best 616) and Pat Searcy (619, previous best 617).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ken M. Wilson swept Division 1, while Thomas Lin topped Division 2. Scott Murdock made quick work of Division 3, and Janelle (Laube) Lamar shut down Division 4. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz dominates Division 1; Pat Searcy reigns over Division 2; Seth Gunderson runs the show in Division 3; and Dennis Pruitt governs Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 15&16, 4th-place Wolverines (hcp 86) will test their mettle against 1st-place Anchors Aweigh!. The Wolverines are expected to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Anchors are forecast to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 17&18, 5th-place Theee Beeelt will share a couple of pitchers with 7th-place Atomic Goo (estimated hcp 50). Theee Beeelt might perform well and win the series; while Atomic Goo ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 19&20, 3rd-place Bowl me Ishmael! (hcp 80) will hang out with 8th-place Spare Change. Ishmael will likely roll decently, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Spare Change will probably hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 21&22, 6th-place Gutter Minds will challenge 2nd-place Bowlers of Mass Confusion (hcp 33). Gutter Minds are predicted to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Mass Confusion; while Mass Confusion is anticipated to raise their average while they keep the series tied.
