Fall 2003 Week 14 Robo-RecapThe fourteenth week of Fall 2003 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Three bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (183) and series (485) for the women, while Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (247) and series (654) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Wolverines had some one-on-one time with Anchors Aweigh!. Even though highlighted by the skills of Dennis Laube with his 438 series, the Wolverines got swept by the Anchors. On the flipside, Most Valuable Bowler Ken M. Wilson called the shots for the Anchors with his commanding 654 as they swept the competition. Wolverines drop 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while the Anchors remain in 1st.

An irritated Kody waits for Russell to bowl.On lanes 17 & 18: Theee Beeelt kept grabbing the balls of Atomic Goo. Demonstrating the prowess of #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Aaron Weidner and his stunning 641 series, Theee Beeelt celebrated a clean sweep over Atomic Goo. In the midst of this, Steve Robinson ruled Atomic Goo with his 431 despite his team getting swept. Theee Beeelt leaps 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Atomic Goo sinks 1 spot to 8th.

On lanes 19 & 20: Bowl me Ishmael! had a delightful time with Spare Change. Although blessed by Michael Basham with his 407 series, Ishmael got swept by Spare Change. Concurrently, Demond Robinson guided Spare Change with his miraculous 639 as they swept the competition. Bowl me Ishmael! remains in 3rd place, while Spare Change moves 1 spot to 7th.

Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Gutter Minds entered a showdown to the death with Bowlers of Mass Confusion. Though reinforced by Pat Searcy with his 573 series, Gutter Minds accomplished only 1 win against Mass Confusion. Simultaneously, Jason Carpio commanded Mass Confusion with his above-average 550 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Gutter Minds remains in 6th place, while Mass Confusion remains in 2nd.

Bowlers slipping into The 200 Club include: Aaron Weidner (230,222), Demond Robinson (228,217), Ken M. Wilson (247,221), and Pat Searcy (206,208)


New personal high games were set tonight by Ken M. Wilson (247, previous best 237) and Aaron Weidner (230, previous best 201). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Ken M. Wilson (654, previous best 631), Demond Robinson (639, previous best 607), and Aaron Weidner (641, previous best 531).

Adding to the excitement, the 654 rolled by Ken M. Wilson is this season's new high series for men.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ken M. Wilson topped Division 1, while Aaron Weidner decimated Division 2. Seth Gunderson creamed Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Marca Robinson came closest). In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz calls the shots for Division 1; Pat Searcy dominates Division 2; Seth Gunderson leads Division 3; and Dennis Pruitt runs the show in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

Fall 2003 Week 13 Robo-RecapThe thirteenth week of Fall 2003 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (222) and series (563) for the women. As for the men, Pat Searcy snagged this week's high game with a 232, and high series was earned by Ken M. Wilson with a 631. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Bowlers of Mass Confusion entered a showdown to the death with Bowl me Ishmael!. Even though highlighted by the skills of Jason Carpio with his 485 series, Mass Confusion accomplished only 1 win against Ishmael. On the flipside, Michael Basham mastered Ishmael with his above-average 460 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlers of Mass Confusion remains in 2nd place, while Ishmael remains in 3rd.

week13On lanes 17 & 18: Spare Change spent some quality time with Gutter Minds. In spite of top-billing by Bill Krejci with his above-average 524 series, Spare Change got swept by Gutter Minds. As for the opposition, Pat Searcy ruled Gutter Minds with his above-average 619 as they swept the competition. Spare Change remains in 8th place, while Gutter Minds move 1 spot to 6th.

On lanes 19 & 20: Wolverines shared a platter of cheese sticks with Theee Beeelt. Reinforced by Thomas Lin with his above-average 575 series, the Wolverines collected 3 wins against Theee Beeelt. In the meantime, Aaron Weidner showed off in Theee Beeelt with his above-average 516 despite his team notching only a single win. Wolverines leap 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Theee Beeelt sinks 1 spot to 5th.

Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Atomic Goo deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Anchors Aweigh!. Regardless of the star power of Phil Schroeder with his above-average 442 series, Atomic Goo got swept by the Anchors. Simultaneously, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Ken M. Wilson guided the Anchors with his outstanding 631 as they swept the competition. Led by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head David Codding and his above-average 625 series, the Anchors collected 3 wins against Spare Change. In the meantime, Demond Robinson laid down the law in Spare Change with his 517 despite his team notching only a single win. Anchors Aweigh! remains in 1st place, while Spare Change sinks 1 spot to 8th.
