Fall 2003 Week 6 Robo-RecapThe sixth week of Fall 2003 saw two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (194) and series (477) for the women. As for the men, Pat Searcy snagged this week's high game with a 199, and high series was earned by Jason Carpio with a 526. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Gutter Minds spent some quality time with Bowlers of Mass Confusion. In spite of top-billing by Pat Searcy with his 525 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Deena Slinkard, Gutter Minds accomplished only 1 win against Mass Confusion. Across the ball return, #1 Power-Ranked Jason Carpio oversaw Mass Confusion with his above-average 526 (along with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Deena Slinkard) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Gutter Minds drop 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Mass Confusion jumps 2 spots to 3rd.

week6On lanes 17 & 18: Bowl me Ishmael! did battle with Spare Change. Showcasing Paul Linder with his below-average 352 series, Ishmael split the series with Spare Change. On the other side, Bill Krejci ruled Spare Change with his below-average 456 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bowl me Ishmael! remains in 7th place, while Spare Change sinks 1 spot to 5th.

On lanes 19 & 20: Wolverines hung out with Anchors Aweigh!. While headlined by Jim Jones with his above-average 462 series, the Wolverines accomplished only 1 win against the Anchors. While that was going down, Steve Robinson dominated Atomic Goo with his above-average 487 as they swept the competition. Theee Beeelt plummets 2 spots in the standings to 8th place, while Atomic Goo jumps 2 spots to 6th.

Bowlers getting the VIP treatment in The 200 Club include: No one at all. We sucked.

In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz reigns over Division 1; Aaron Weidner governs Division 2; Scott Murdock holds the reins in Division 3; and Ginger O'Reilly leads Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 15&16, 2nd-place Wolverines will socialize with 6th-place Atomic Goo (hcp 45). The Wolverines are expected to perform well and sweep the series; while Atomic Goo is forecast to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Moving to lanes 17&18, 8th-place Theee Beeelt (hcp 100) will throw some gutter balls with 1st-place Anchors Aweigh!. Theee Beeelt might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Anchors ought to drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 19&20, 7th-place Bowl me Ishmael! (hcp 153) will share a couple of pitchers with 4th-place Gutter Minds. Ishmael will likely maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Gutter Minds will probably hold steady as they rack up a sweep.

Fall 2003 Week 2 Robo-RecapThe second week of Fall 2003 saw four teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Andee Weinfurt picked up this week's high game (157) and series (410) for the women, while Demond Robinson earned this week's high game (228) and series (607) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Theee Beeelt couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Bowl me Ishmael!. In spite of the prowess of Seth Gunderson with his dazzling 457 series, Theee Beeelt accomplished only 1 win against Ishmael. Simultaneously, Paul Linder mastered Ishmael with his 421 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Theee Beeelt drops 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while Ishmael jumps 4 spots to 4th.

week2On lanes 19 & 20: Spare Change had some one-on-one time with Atomic Goo. With the strength of Demond Robinson with his spectacular 607 series, Spare Change celebrated a clean sweep over Atomic Goo. On the other side, Phil Schroeder took the lead in Atomic Goo with his above-average 435 despite his team getting swept. Spare Change leaps 2 spots in the standings to 2nd place, while Atomic Goo plunges 6 spots to 7th.

On lanes 21 & 22: Gutter Minds did battle with Wolverines. Despite being led by Pat Searcy with his above-average 521 series, Gutter Minds accomplished only 1 win against the Wolverines. While that was going down, Thomas Lin ruled the Wolverines with his above-average 521 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Gutter Minds plummet 2 spots in the standings to 5th place, while the Wolverines jump 4 spots to 3rd.

Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Anchors Aweigh! celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Bowlers of Mass Confusion. Blessed by trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Ken M. Wilson and his awe-inspiring 606 series, the Anchors celebrated a clean sweep over Mass Confusion. On the flipside, Corey Weinfurt called the shots for Mass Confusion with his 466 despite his team getting swept. Anchors Aweigh! leaps 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while Mass Confusion plunges 2 spots to 8th.

Bowlers getting the VIP treatment in The 200 Club include: Demond Robinson (228) and Ken M. Wilson (213,204)

A new personal high game was set tonight by Demond Robinson (228, previous best 225). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Demond Robinson (607, previous best 540) and Seth Gunderson (457, previous best 449).

The 607 rolled by Demond Robinson is the new 7th-best series in league history!

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 17&18, 2nd-place Spare Change will meet with 3rd-place Wolverines (hcp 52). Spare Change is expected to astounding and sweep the series; while the Wolverines are forecast to catapult their team average even though they endure a rough night.
  • Moving to lanes 19&20, 1st-place Anchors Aweigh! will face 4th-place Bowl me Ishmael! (estimated hcp 158). The Anchors might roll a little low, yet still manage to win the series; while Ishmael ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 21&22, 7th-place Atomic Goo (estimated hcp 52) will share a couple of pitchers with 8th-place Bowlers of Mass Confusion. Atomic Goo will likely roll decently, yet still manage to get swept; while Mass Confusion will probably raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
  • Finally, on lanes 23&24, 5th-place Gutter Minds will test their mettle against 6th-place Theee Beeelt (hcp 52). Gutter Minds are predicted to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Theee Beeelt is anticipated to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
