A stagnated fourth week of Fall 2003 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (196) and series (504) for the women. As for the men, David Codding snagged this week's high game with a 212, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 591. Meanwhile, the Tournament of Champions also kicked off tonight, beginning of 13 weeks of one-on-one bowling excitement! Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Bowlers of Mass Confusion hung out with Theee Beeelt. With the strength of Justin Strelow with his above-average 474 series, Mass Confusion split the series with Theee Beeelt. On the other side, Most Valuable Bowler Aaron Weidner shined in Theee Beeelt with his fantastic 531 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bowlers of Mass Confusion remains in 6th place, while Theee Beeelt remains in 5th.
On lanes 19 & 20: Atomic Goo sparred with Gutter Minds. While headlined by Steve Robinson with his 453 series, Atomic Goo accomplished only 1 win against Gutter Minds. Concurrently, Bob Brunker laid down the law in Gutter Minds with his above-average 554 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Atomic Goo remains in 8th place, while Gutter Minds remain in 4th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Anchors Aweigh! alternated between bowling and dry humping Spare Change. Starring #1 Head-to-Head Carl Goetz and his above-average 591 series, the Anchors split the series with Spare Change. As for the opposition, Demond Robinson called the shots for Spare Change with his 503 as they matched their opponent in wins. Anchors Aweigh! remains in 1st place, while Spare Change remains in 3rd.
Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Bowl me Ishmael! shared a platter of cheese sticks with Wolverines. In spite of the prowess of Dennis Pruitt with his 398 series, Ishmael accomplished only 1 win against the Wolverines. While that was going down, #1 Power-Ranked Dennis Laube guided the Wolverines with his outstanding 529 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowl me Ishmael! remains in 7th place, while the Wolverines remain in 2nd.

A new
personal high game was set tonight by Aaron Weidner (200, previous best 189). In addition, a new
personal best series was rolled by Aaron Weidner (531, previous best 500).
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Carl Goetz creamed Division 1, while Aaron Weidner crushed Division 2. Scott Murdock routed Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Marca Robinson came closest).
In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz reigns over Division 1; Aaron Weidner calls the shots for Division 2; Scott Murdock runs the show in Division 3; and Marca Robinson tops Division 4.
NEXT WEEK: - First, on lanes 15&16, 8th-place Atomic Goo (hcp 136) will test their mettle against 1st-place Anchors Aweigh!. Atomic Goo is expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while the Anchors are forecast to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Moving to lanes 17&18, 2nd-place Wolverines (hcp 4) will share a couple of pitchers with 5th-place Theee Beeelt. The Wolverines might perform well and win the series; while Theee Beeelt ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
- Then, over on lanes 19&20, 6th-place Bowlers of Mass Confusion will hang out with 7th-place Bowl me Ishmael! (estimated hcp 88). Mass Confusion will likely roll decently and sweep the series; while Ishmael will probably raise their average even as they endure a rough night.
