The Fall 2003 season is now underway, with eight teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and three rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (193) and series (533) for the women, while David Codding earned this week's high game (256) and series (648) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Anchors Aweigh! celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Gutter Minds. Starring #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head David Codding and his astonishing 648 series, the Anchors split the series with Gutter Minds. Simultaneously, Angela Bradford ruled Gutter Minds with her wondrous 533 as they matched their opponent in wins. Anchors Aweigh! begins the season in 2nd place, while Gutter Minds get rolling in 3rd.
On lanes 19 & 20: Bowlers of Mass Confusion couldn't stop inappropriately groping Wolverines. Featuring Corey Weinfurt with his 451 series, Mass Confusion split the series with the Wolverines. Meanwhile, Thomas Lin shined in the Wolverines with his 468 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bowlers of Mass Confusion leaves the gate in 6th place, while the Wolverines start off with 7th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Spare Change hung out with Theee Beeelt. Demonstrating the prowess of Demond Robinson with his 507 series, Spare Change split the series with Theee Beeelt. On the flipside, Aaron Weidner laid down the law in Theee Beeelt with his stupendous 500 as they matched their opponent in wins. Spare Change gets underway in 4th place, while Theee Beeelt begins in 5th.
Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Atomic Goo shared a platter of cheese sticks with Bowl me Ishmael!. With the strength of Steve Robinson with his 489 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Marca Robinson, Atomic Goo collected 3 wins against Ishmael. While that was going down, Cindy Olsen dominated Ishmael with her 286 despite her team notching only a single win. Atomic Goo starts out in 1st place, while Ishmael gets going with 8th.
