Fall 2002 Week 15 Robo-RecapA stagnated fifteenth week of Fall 2002 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (186) and series (432) for the women, while Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (214) and series (582) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Pop Gunns shared a few beers with Team 6. Highlighting the skills of Ken M. Wilson with his above-average 561 series, Pop Gunns celebrated a clean sweep over Team 6. On the adjacent lane, Nik Domann reigned supreme in Team 6 with his terrific 495 despite his team getting swept. Pop Gunns remains in 1st place, while Team 6 remains in 4th.

week15On lanes 19 & 20: UnaBowlers had some one-on-one time with GRRR. Topped by trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Corey Weinfurt and his thrilling 528 series, the UnaBowlers celebrated a clean sweep over GRRR. On the other side, Byron Hester laid down the law in GRRR with his 370 despite his team getting swept. UnaBowlers remains in 5th place, while GRRR remains in 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Team 5 traded lane malfunctions with Top Guns. Despite being led by David Codding with his above-average 500 series, Team 5 accomplished only 1 win against Top Guns. Concurrently, Pat Searcy drew the spotlight in Top Guns with his above-average 582 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Team 5 remains in 3rd place, while Top Guns remain in 2nd.

Bowlers slipping into The 200 Club include: Bill Krejci (201), Ken M. Wilson (204), and Pat Searcy (214,202)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Nik Domann (495, previous best 494).

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 17&18, 1st-place Pop Gunns will compete against 2nd-place Top Guns (hcp 37). Pop Gunns are expected to have the bottom drop out of their averages as they get swept; while Top Guns are forecast to see their team average take a dive even though they rack up a sweep.
  • Moving to lanes 19&20, 3rd-place Team 5 will hang out with 4th-place Team 6 (hcp 29). Team 5 might see a pretty significant "market correction" to their averages as they get swept; while Team 6 ought to see their team average take a dive even though they rack up a sweep.
  • Finally, on lanes 21&22, 5th-place UnaBowlers will throw some gutter balls with 6th-place GRRR (hcp 73). The UnaBowlers are predicted to tank their averages considerably as they get swept; while GRRR is anticipated to drop their average a bit even as they rack up a sweep.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
