The fourteenth week of Fall 2002 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Janelle (Laube) Lamar picked up this week's high game (163) and series (446) for the women, while Carl Goetz earned this week's high game (206) and series (611) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Top Guns had a rendezvous with GRRR. With top billing by Pat Searcy with his 544 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder, Top Guns collected 3 wins against GRRR. Concurrently, Sharon Turner called the shots for GRRR with her 419 despite her team notching only a single win. Top Guns leap 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while GRRR remains in 6th.
On lanes 19 & 20: Team 5 matched wits with Pop Gunns. Even though highlighted by the skills of David Codding with his powerful 527 series, Team 5 accomplished only 1 win against Pop Gunns. On the other side, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Carl Goetz showed off in Pop Gunns with his marvelous 611 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Team 5 drops 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while Pop Gunns remain in 1st.
Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Team 6 shared a few beers with UnaBowlers. Although topped by Janelle (Laube) Lamar with her splendid 446 series, Team 6 accomplished only 1 win against the UnaBowlers. In the meantime, Justin Strelow drew the spotlight in the UnaBowlers with his above-average 494 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Team 6 remains in 4th place, while the UnaBowlers remain in 5th.

NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 17&18, 1st-place Pop Gunns will share a couple of pitchers with 4th-place Team 6. Pop Gunns are expected to drop their averages like a brick, but split the series with Team 6; while Team 6 is forecast to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
- Moving to lanes 19&20, 5th-place UnaBowlers will match wits with 6th-place GRRR. The UnaBowlers might see their averages fall off a cliff, but split the series with GRRR; while GRRR ought to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
- Finally, on lanes 21&22, 3rd-place Team 5 will compete against 2nd-place Top Guns. Team 5 is predicted to watch their averages take a plunge, but split the series with Top Guns; while Top Guns are anticipated to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
