The fourteenth week of Fall 2002 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Janelle (Laube) Lamar picked up this week's high game (163) and series (446) for the women, while Carl Goetz earned this week's high game (206) and series (611) for the men. First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Top Guns waged a heated competition against GRRR. Headlined by Pat Searcy with his 544 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder, Top Guns collected 3 wins against GRRR. Across the ball return, Sharon Turner showed off in GRRR with her 419 despite her team notching only a single win. Top Guns leap 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while GRRR remains in 6th.

On lanes 19 & 20: Team 5 shared a few beers with Pop Gunns. Though featuring David Codding with his amazing 527 series, Team 5 accomplished only 1 win against Pop Gunns. On the other half of the score sheet, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Carl Goetz ruled Pop Gunns with his terrific 611 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Team 5 drops 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while Pop Gunns remain in 1st.

Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Team 6 had a delightful time with UnaBowlers. Even though highlighted by the skills of Janelle (Laube) Lamar with her breathtaking 446 series, Team 6 accomplished only 1 win against the UnaBowlers. On the flipside, Justin Strelow oversaw the UnaBowlers with his above-average 494 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Team 6 remains in 4th place, while the UnaBowlers remain in 5th.

NEXT WEEK:

• First, on lanes 17&18, 1st-place Pop Gunns will throw some gutter balls with 4th-place Team 6. Pop Gunns are expected to watch their averages take a plunge, but split the series with Team 6; while Team 6 is forecast to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
