Fall 2002 Week 7 Robo-RecapThe seventh week of Fall 2002 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (203) and series (532) for the women, while Carl Goetz earned this week's high game (223) and series (591) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Team 5 kept stealing sips of beer from Team 6. Even though highlighted by the skills of David Parre with his 476 series, Team 5 accomplished only 1 win against Team 6. On the other side, Nik Domann called the shots for Team 6 with his above-average 437 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Team 5 drops 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Team 6 remains in 5th.

week7On lanes 19 & 20: Top Guns matched wits with UnaBowlers. Showcasing Pat Searcy with his 545 series, and supported tremendously by real star — trifecta-winner #1 Power-Ranked, #1 Head-to-Head, and Most Valuable Bowler Freda Schroeder, Top Guns celebrated a clean sweep over the UnaBowlers. On the flipside, Justin Strelow commanded the UnaBowlers with his above-average 494 despite his team getting swept. Top Guns leap 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while the UnaBowlers remain in 4th.

Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Pop Gunns faced off against GRRR. Starring Carl Goetz with his awe-inspiring 591 series, Pop Gunns collected 3 wins against GRRR. While that was going down, Sharon Turner drew the spotlight in GRRR with her above-average 413 despite her team notching only a single win. Pop Gunns remains in 3rd place, while GRRR remains in 6th.

Bowlers slipping under the velvet rope in front of The 200 Club include: Bill Krejci (209), Carl Goetz (223), Freda Schroeder (203), Justin Strelow (210), and Ken M. Wilson (203)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Freda Schroeder (532, previous best 501).

Freda Schroeder earned both this season's women's high game and series with her 203 and 532, respectively.

The 203 rolled by Freda Schroeder is the new 7th-best women's game in league history! (As well as the league's 20th-best game overall.)
The 223 rolled by Carl Goetz is the new 7th-best men's game in league history!
The 532 rolled by Freda Schroeder is the new 4th-best women's series in league history!
The 591 rolled by Carl Goetz is the new 5th-best men's series in league history!

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 17&18, 1st-place Top Guns will share a couple of pitchers with 6th-place GRRR. Top Guns are expected to tank their averages considerably, but split the series with GRRR; while GRRR is forecast to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
  • Moving to lanes 19&20, 2nd-place Team 5 will face 3rd-place Pop Gunns. Team 5 might watch their averages take a plunge, but split the series with Pop Gunns; while Pop Gunns ought to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 21&22, 5th-place Team 6 will battle 4th-place UnaBowlers. Team 6 is predicted to see a pretty significant "market correction" to their averages, but split the series with the UnaBowlers; while the UnaBowlers are anticipated to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
