The seventh week of Fall 2002 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (203) and series (532) for the women, while Carl Goetz earned this week's high game (223) and series (591) for the men. First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Team 5 chucked gutter balls with Team 6. Though reinforced by David Parre with his 476 series, Team 5 accomplished only 1 win against Team 6. Across the ball return, Nik Domann laid down the law in Team 6 with his above-average 437 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Team 5 drops 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Team 6 remains in 5th.
On lanes 19 & 20: Top Guns celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with UnaBowlers. Blessed by Pat Searcy with his 545 series, and supported tremendously by real star — trifecta-winner #1 Power-Ranked, #1 Head-to-Head, and Most Valuable Bowler Freda Schroeder, Top Guns celebrated a clean sweep over the UnaBowlers. As for the opposition, Justin Strelow reigned supreme in the UnaBowlers with his above-average 494 despite his team getting swept. Top Guns leap 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while the UnaBowlers remain in 4th.
Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Pop Gunns matched wits with GRRR. Starring Carl Goetz with his spectacular 591 series, Pop Gunns collected 3 wins against GRRR. While that was going down, Sharon Turner dominated GRRR with her above-average 413 despite her team notching only a single win. Pop Gunns remains in 3rd place, while GRRR remains in 6th.
