Nominee – Bill Krejci

Bill Krejci is a nominee for induction into the GutterAlley Hall of Fame during the Spring 2013 season. "Fickle" Bill Krejci made his debut in the league during the Spring 2001 session, having rolled in 17 of our twenty-eight seasons to date. He came away with his first of two championship titles in the Fall 2002 season on the Pop Gunns and his second as a member of the infamous Guttersluts in the Spring 2007 session. As the 7th best bowler as of the time of this writing, this proud owner of a $3 thrift shop bowling ball has emphatically made his mark on the league throughout the course of his career. Eight times he was the Most Valuable Bowler with nine times as the runner-up, nine times he left the lanes as the #1 Power Ranked bowler, and rolled the 3rd highest series in league history just last season – a 743. In the Fall 2007 season he was the actual Most Valuable Bowler, beating out the league's best bowler of all time - Don Glasscock. As anchor of his team, Krejci earned the Carl Goetz Defensive Bowler of the Season award in Fall 2012 after carrying his team to victory in crucial 10th frame situations. When it comes to the Top 25s, Bill appears on many of the top lists for bowling prowess: Highest Series (3rd), Highest Games (5th), MVBs (8th), Most 200+ Games (6th), and Most 600+ Series (11th). A fierce and vocal competitor on the lanes, Bill is known for his kindness and helpfulness off the lanes. Our estimates place him in the top five recruiters in league history, having been responsible for bringing in the Spring 2012 season's Rookie of the Season – Cliff Barendsen – into the fold. Here are a few comments about Bill from those that nominated him:

Bill is an all around class player. He consistently bowls well, helps his team out and, most of all, is the most chill down right coolest person to hang out with. A man who will help you out at any cost.Krejci is one hell of an up-and-coming feared anchor, and only his chronic absenteeism is holding him back from joining the ranks of Carl and Searcy. When Bill first came into the league, he rolled on some pretty bad teams. It was apparent, though, that he had raw talent. Once we pulled him onto a contender and he got his first taste of victory after victory, the competitive Krejci we know today was born. His recent evolution into a powerhouse roller and solid anchor makes me wish he would go back to the mentality he had when on those crap teams because I'm tired of him kicking my team around season after season.

The GutterAlley Hall of Fame Screening Committee is proud to put Bill up for enshrinement.
