Fall 2006 Week 13 Robo-RecapThe thirteenth week of Fall 2006 saw three teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Tracy Rychlewski picked up this week's high game (174) and series (469) for the women, while Carl Goetz earned this week's high game (227) and series (655) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Bowlkake2 waged a heated competition against I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter. Demonstrating the prowess of Thomas Lin with his above-average 601 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Dave Hickerson, Bowlkake2 celebrated a clean sweep over Not Gutter. In the midst of this, Ryan Doll dominated Not Gutter with his above-average 518 despite his team getting swept. Bowlkake2 remains in 4th place, while Not Gutter remains in 9th.

week13On lanes 17 & 18: Manute Bowl kept grabbing the balls of TBD. In spite of top-billing by Andy McLeod with his above-average 459 series, Manute Bowl got swept by TBD. On the other half of the score sheet, Tracy Rychlewski oversaw TBD with her wondrous 469 as they swept the competition. Manute Bowl plummets 2 spots in the standings to 8th place, while TBD moves 1 spot to 7th.

On lanes 19 & 20: Frickin' Ten Pins had some one-on-one time with All Belts Are Off. Topped by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Carl Goetz and his thrilling 655 series, Frickin' Ten Pins celebrated a clean sweep over the Belt. Countering this, David Codding took the lead in the Belt with his below-average 547 despite his team getting swept. Frickin' Ten Pins leap 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while the Belt remains in 5th.

On lanes 21 & 22: New Balls, Old Rack couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Split Happens. Highlighting the skills of Ken M. Wilson with his 556 series, the Old Rack collected 3 wins against Split Happens. In the meantime, James Long reigned supreme in Split Happens with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 418 despite his team notching only a single win. New Balls, Old Rack leaps 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Split Happens sink 1 spot to 3rd.

Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Guttersluts traded lane malfunctions with Hez-Bowl-lah. Despite the strength of John Boren with his 555 series, the Guttersluts got swept by Hez-Bowl-lah. As for the opposition, Jason Carpio called the shots for Hez-Bowl-lah with his staggering 576 as they swept the competition. Guttersluts remains in 10th place, while Hez-Bowl-lah remains in 1st.

Bowlers sneaking into The 200 Club include: Carl Goetz (227,225,203), Jason Carpio (202), John Boren (200), John Richardson (206), Pat Searcy (204), and Thomas Lin (222,211)

A new personal high game was set tonight by Ariel Waldman (148, previous best 146). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Tracy Rychlewski (469, previous best 452).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Carl Goetz made quick work of Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though John Richardson came closest). Nobody claimed victory in Division 3 (though Joel Henning came closest), and nobody claimed victory in Division 4, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about Division 4 as it was a complete embarassment. Finally, Seth Gunderson (Division 2) won this week's Interdivisional bracket. Finally, Janelle (Laube) Lamar (Division 3) won this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: Stefan Miller tops Division 1; Rich DeYoung holds the reins in Division 2; Janelle (Laube) Lamar is in the driver's seat in Division 3; and Andy McLeod calls the shots for Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 15&16, 1st-place Hez-Bowl-lah (hcp 4) will socialize with 6th-place Frickin' Ten Pins. Hez-Bowl-lah is expected to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Frickin' Ten Pins are forecast to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 17&18, 10th-place Guttersluts (hcp 91) will roll against 3rd-place Split Happens. The Guttersluts might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Split Happens ought to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 19&20, 2nd-place New Balls, Old Rack will chill with 9th-place I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter (hcp 108). The Old Rack will likely maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while Not Gutter will probably raise their average even as they endure a rough night.
  • Next up, on lanes 21&22, 8th-place Manute Bowl (hcp 106) will tussle with 5th-place All Belts Are Off. Manute Bowl might maintain their current strength as they get swept; while the Belt ought to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
  • Finally, on lanes 23&24, 7th-place TBD (hcp 41) will throw some gutter balls with 4th-place Bowlkake2. TBD is predicted to perform well and win the series; while Bowlkake2 is anticipated to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
