The fourteenth week of Spring 2010 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (242) and series (590) for the women, while Ryan Doll earned this week's high game (230) and series (618) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 25 & 26: Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz sparred with Empire Strikes Back. Highlighting the skills of #1 Power-Ranked Angela Bradford and her awe-inspiring 590 series, the Schlitz celebrated a clean sweep over the Empire. Concurrently, Ken M. Wilson commanded the Empire with his 554 despite his team getting swept. Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz leaps 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while the Empire sinks 1 spot to 2nd.
On lanes 27 & 28: Little Lebowski Urban Achievers matched wits with Lil' Devils. Though reinforced by Mitch Kempker with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 475 series, the Urban Achievers got swept by Lil' Devils. In the midst of this, Andrea Caudillo shined in Lil' Devils with her above-average 432 as they swept the competition. Little Lebowski Urban Achievers remains in 8th place, while Lil' Devils remain in 4th.
On lanes 29 & 30: The Prak Attack traded lane malfunctions with Bowlumpkin. Despite being led by Bill Riley with his dazzling 401 series, the Attack accomplished only 1 win against Bowlumpkin. Simultaneously, Jason Carpio mastered Bowlumpkin with his 553 as his team took the series with 3 wins. The Prak Attack drops 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while Bowlumpkin moves 1 spot to 5th.
Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: 3 Pin Moon couldn't stop inappropriately groping No Pinheads. With the strength of Ryan Doll with his above-average 618 series, 3 Pin Moon collected 3 wins against the Pinheads. On the adjacent lane, #1 Head-to-Head and Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder dominated the Pinheads with his terrific 549 despite his team notching only a single win. 3 Pin Moon remains in 3rd place, while the Pinheads remain in 7th.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Dennis Laube walloped Division 1, while Adam Messner swept Division 2. Janelle (Laube) Lamar triumphed over her enemies in Division 3, and Bill Riley made quick work of Division 4. In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson governs Division 1; Chris Lewis leads Division 2; Janelle (Laube) Lamar calls the shots for Division 3; and Lawrence Prak dominates Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 25&26, 6th-place The Prak Attack (hcp 141) will hang out with 3rd-place 3 Pin Moon. The Attack is expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while 3 Pin Moon is forecast to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Moving to lanes 27&28, 7th-place No Pinheads will chuck some balls with 5th-place Bowlumpkin (hcp 100). The Pinheads might maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while Bowlumpkin ought to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
- Then, over on lanes 29&30, 8th-place Little Lebowski Urban Achievers (hcp 172) will socialize with 2nd-place Empire Strikes Back. The Urban Achievers will likely roll decently, yet still manage to get swept; while the Empire will probably drop their average a bit even as they rack up a sweep.
- Finally, on lanes 31&32, 1st-place Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz will compete against 4th-place Lil' Devils (hcp 95). The Schlitz is predicted to roll a little low, but split the series with Lil' Devils; while Lil' Devils are anticipated to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)

FROM THE GUTTER (GUTTER QUOTE)
"I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing."
Ryan Doll, unhappy with the way his name appeared on the scoreboard.
