The Fall 2021 season draws to a close, with Going Going Bald officially earning this season's championship title.... but we knew that a couple of weeks ago! The season recap -- with all the end-of-season award winners -- is coming soon. But here is this week's recap. Dustin Schemltz set a new personal best series, just in time to make us hastily redirect the Men's High Series Handicap prize money to him instead of the original recipient. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (130) and series (365) for the women. As for the men, Carl Goetz snagged this week's high game with a 247, and high series was earned by Dustin Schmeltz with a 608. Read on for all the rest of the details!

On lanes 1 & 2: Long-crowned champs Going Going Bald had a delightful time chucking balls with Shephus Cripes. Although topped by Matthew Taylor with his 527 series, Baldness accomplished only 1 win against Shephus. In the midst of this, Carl Goetz with his better-than-normal 606 series mastered Shephus as his team took the match with 3 wins. Going Going Bald finalize their efforts in 1st place, while Shephus end up with 2nd, but we already knew that since neither team could move in the standings no matter what.

On lanes 3 & 4: We find a pairing of virtually equal strengths, as Would You Rather... cowered in sheer terror upon discovering they were rolling against The (mighty) Heavy Pins. Though featuring Scott Murdock with his meh-ry 481 series, Would You got swept by Heavy P. Countering this, Kent Harms with his better-than-normal 521 series showed off for Heavy P as they swept the competition. Would You Rather... closed out in 3rd place, while Heavy P terminate their season in 4th. But we already knew that since neither team could move in the standings no matter what.

Finally, down on lanes 5 & 6: Bowlie Guacamole got to play with themselves all the wanted after Kenny Fan Club forfeited again. Emboldened by trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Dustin Schmeltz and his downright ridiculously good 608 series, Guac collected a clean sweep over Kenny. Bowlie Guacamole ends in 5th place, while Kenny crossed the finish line in 6th, And this was the one thing that WAS at least initially uncertain, as until Kenny forfeited this match was still up in the air.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Dustin Schmeltz (608, previous best 605).

After a hard fought season, the Tournament of Champions was won tonight by James Tott (Division 2), with Kent Harms (Division 3) landing in second place. James will pocket the nice first-place pot, while Kent will take away the second-place pot. Congratulations!
