The second week of Fall 2018 saw five teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (169) and series (446) for the women, while Aaron Barber earned this week's high game (243) and series (634) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 11 & 12: Bowling For Beers waged a heated competition against BDE. With the strength of Jeremy Varnell with his magnificent 447 series, Beers collected 3 wins against BDE. Over on the other side, Rob Kaszuba with his better-than-normal 523 series emboldened BDE despite his team notching only a single win. Bowling For Beers leap 3 spots in the standings to 6th place, while BDE sinks 1 spot to 5th.
On lanes 13 & 14: Serious Bowlers took turns kicking the ball return with 8 Balls. Reinforced by trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Aaron Barber and his downright ridiculous 634 series, Serious Bs felt the glory of a clean sweep over 8-Balls. On the other side of the tracks, Matthew Taylor with his better-than-normal 553 series oversaw 8-Balls despite his team getting swept. Serious Bowlers leap 2 spots in the standings to 3rd place, while 8-Balls plunge 6 spots to 7th.
On lanes 15 & 16: We Don't Give a Split hung out with Open Frames R Us. Charging into the fray behind Dennis Laube with his 448 series, Split Not Given collected 3 wins against Open Frames. On the flipside, Monica Hufford with her slightly-off 421 series took charge of Open Frames despite her team notching only a single win. We Don't Give a Split leaps 2 spots in the standings to 4th place, while Open Frames remain in 8th.
On lanes 17 & 18: Teeby Dee kept grabbing the balls of Red Strikes Matter. In spite of top-billing by Curtis Whiles with his 435 series, TBD got swept by Red Strikes. On the adjacent lane, Ben Spencer with his better-than-normal 503 series called the shots for Red Strikes as they swept the competition. Teeby Dee plummets 2 spots in the standings to 9th place, while Red Strikes move 1 spot to 2nd.
Finally, down on lanes 19 & 20: In a battle of good against evil, the intimidating Gucci Lane traded lane malfunctions with the rascally Bowl Movements. Starring Michael Mead with his 625 series, Gucci celebrated a clean sweep over BMs. In the meantime, Conor Clarke with his 450 series commanded BMs despite his team getting swept. Gucci Lane climbs 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while BMs remain in 10th.
Bowlers who stripped naked and shared a cozy hot tub together in a back room at The 200 Club include: Aaron Barber (243,223), Carl Goetz (205,234), Jonathan Vigliaturo (200), Matthew Taylor (200), Michael Gordon (214), and Michael Mead (232,213)
Aaron Barber nabbed both high game and series for the men this season with his 243 and 634, respectively.

NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 1&2, 10th-place Bowl Movements (hcp 40) will share a couple of pitchers with 9th-place Teeby Dee. BMs are expected to perform well and win the series; while TBD is forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
- Moving to lanes 3&4, 8th-place Open Frames R Us (estimated hcp 59) will match wits with 1st-place Gucci Lane. Open Frames might maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Gucci ought to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
- Then, over on lanes 5&6, 2nd-place Red Strikes Matter (hcp 28) will challenge 3rd-place Serious Bowlers. Red Strikes will likely have a bit of an off night and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Serious Bs will probably hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
- Next up, on lanes 7&8, 5th-place BDE (hcp 22) will chuck some balls with 4th-place We Don't Give a Split. BDE might roll a little low, yet still manage to win the series; while Split Not Given ought to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
- Finally, on lanes 9&10, 7th-place 8 Balls will throw some gutter balls with 6th-place Bowling For Beers (hcp 157). 8-Balls are predicted to perform well and sweep the series; while Beers are anticipated to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
