The Fall 2022 season draws to a close, with Baby Beardo officially earning this season's championship title! But we aren't quite finished yet -- next week we will meet at our usual time to name all the award winners and hand out prize money as we feast on fried chicken, followed by 9-pin-tap fun night. The final week saw the 4th & 5th place teams swap places. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (127) and series (353) for the women. As for the men, Scott Murdock (?!) snagged this week's high game with a 233, and high series was earned by Dennis Walling with a 616. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 1 & 2: Sun Dolphins were on top of things in term of getting their votes in (the first team to do so; thanks got that, guys!) but couldn't quite get it together on the lanes against I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter. In spite of top-billing by Ryan Sisco with his below-average 429 series, the dolphins got swept by the nonbelievers. Jeremy Varnell with his better-than-normal 477 series restored faith to the nonbelievers (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Pat Hamell) as they swept the competition. Sun Dolphins finalize their efforts in 6th place, while the nonbelievers move up 1 spot to cross the finish line in 4th.

On lanes 3 & 4: With nearly perfectly-matched team strength, Glory Bowl matched wits with AJ's Minions. Starring Kent Harms with his above-average 548 series, the Glorious split the series with the minions. Moving on to the challengers, AJ Hofmann with his better-than-normal 586 series showed off for the minions as they matched their opponent in wins. Glory Bowl drops 1 spot in the standings to complete in 5th place, while the minions terminate their season in 3rd.

Finally, down on lanes 5 & 6: With the narrowest of handicaps, Balderdash hung out with Baby Beardo. Headlined by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Dennis Walling and his above-average 616 series, the balder dashers collected 3 wins against the Beardettes. On the adjacent lane, Carl Goetz with his better-than-normal 612 series ruled the Beardettes despite his team notching only a single win. Balderdash end in 2nd place, while the Beardettes come out in 1st.

Bowlers who were on the VIP list for The 200 Club include: AJ Hofmann (215), Ben Spencer (215), Carl Goetz (227), Dennis Walling (216,211), Matthew Taylor (211), Scott Murdock (233), and Seth Gunderson (210)

After a hard fought season, the Tournament of Champions was won tonight by Dennis Walling (Division 1), with Collin Lavery (Division 4) landing in second place. Dennis will pocket the nice first-place pot, while Collin will take away the second-place pot. Congratulations!

Next week begins with a league meeting led by Baby Beardo, where awards winners will be announced and prize money handed out. Everybody gets cash! After that, 9-pin tap bowling just for fun!
