The third week of Fall 2022 welcomed the remainder of our not-yet-rolled bowlers, all except of course for Ol' Bustedlegs Clayton whom we are unlikely to see before November at the earliest. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (164) and series (394) for the women. As for the men, Seth Gunderson snagged this week's high game with a 215, and high series was earned by AJ Hofmann with a 562. And the Tournament of Champions divisions are now set, ready for one-on-one action to begin next week! Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 1 & 2: In a matchup that turned out closer than it should have, the beleaguered guys of Sun Dolphins fell victim to the mild displeasure of the normally-more-demonic-than-this Baby Beardo. Regardless of the star power of Ryan Sisco with his 443 series, the dolphins got swept by the Beardettes, missing game 1 by a single pin. Seth Gunderson with his 547 series emboldened the Beardettes as they swept the competition. Sun Dolphins remains in 6th place, while the Beardettes remain in 1st.

On lanes 3 & 4: In tonight's most surprising result, Balderdash failed to achieve any of what should have been at least a couple of wins over AJ's Minions. Despite a show of strength by #1 Head-to-Head Ben Spencer and his above-average 523 series, the balder dashers got swept by the minions. AJ Hofmann with his better-than-normal 562 series oversaw the minions (along with kudos to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Jim Koger) as they swept the competition. Balderdash plummets 2 spots in the standings to 4th place, while the minions move up 1 spot to 2nd.

Finally, down on lanes 5 & 6: At some point between the rise of mammals and the Sun swelling to become a red giant, the slowest bowlers on the planet eventually got around to finishing their games. Glory Bowl traded rolls with I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter at a glacial pace, forcing Scoot to stay up far past his bed time. Although receiving some slow-motion motivation from Kent Harms with his 492 series, the Glorious accomplished only 1 win against the almost motionless nonbelievers. As for the opposition, Jeremy Varnell with his 399 series meandered to the top of the nonbelievers as his team took the match with 3 wins. Glory Bowl drops 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while the nonbelievers jump 2 spots to 3rd.

NEXT WEEK:

• First, on lanes 1&2, 4th-place Balderdash will throw some gutter balls with 5th-place Glory Bowl (hcp 73). The balder dashers are expected to roll a little low, yet still manage to win the series; while the Glorious are forecast to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
• Moving to lanes 3&4, 3rd-place I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter (hcp 145) will tussle with 1st-place Baby Beardo. The nonbelievers might maintain their current strength as they get swept; while the Beardettes ought to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
• Finally, on lanes 5&6, 6th-place Sun Dolphins (hcp 82) will socialize with 2nd-place AJ's Minions. The dolphins are predicted to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the minions are anticipated to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
