The Fall 2022 season is now underway, with six teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (161) and series (418) for the women. As for the men, AJ Hofmann snagged this week's high game with a 200, and high series was earned by Matthew Taylor with a 515. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 1 & 2: With the narrowest of handicaps, Baby Beardo entered a showdown to the death with Balderdash. Strengthened by Nick Kinney with his 510 series, the Beardettes collected 3 wins against the balder dashers. As this was happening, Matthew Taylor with his 515 series guided the balder dashers (with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Michael Gordon) despite his team notching only a single win. Baby Beardo leaves the gate in 1st place, while the balder dashers spring to life in 6th.

On lanes 3 & 4: With closely-matched team strength, Sun Dolphins waged a heated competition against I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter. Starring Ryan Sisco with his 454 series, the Dolphins split the series with the Nonbelievers. While that was going down, JoAnne Barber with her 418 series dominated the Nonbelievers (with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler ) as they matched their opponent in wins. Sun Dolphins enters the world in 3rd place, while the Nonbelievers commence with 4th.

Finally, down on lanes 5 & 6: A well-matched pair of rivals gathered as AJ's Minions shared a few beers with Glory Bowl. In spite of the prowess of AJ Hofmann with his 502 series, managed only 1.5 wins against the Glorious. Meanwhile, Brett Affolter with his 460 series inspired the Glorious (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler No one) as his team took the match with 2.5 wins. AJ's Minions realizes their existence in 5th place, while the Glorious materialize in 2nd.

New personal high games were set tonight by JC Cox (140, previous best 128) and Ryan Sisco (165, previous best 158). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by JC Cox (321, previous best 309) and Ryan Sisco (454, previous best 431).

NEXT WEEK:

• First, on lanes 1&2, 5th-place AJ's Minions will roll against 4th-place I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter (hcp 42). is expected to roll a little low and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Nonbelievers are forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
• Moving to lanes 3&4, 1st-place Baby Beardo (estimated estimated hcp 58) will compete against 2nd-place Glory Bowl. The Beardettes might amazing and sweep the series; while the Glorious ought to drop their average a bit while they endure a rough night.
• Finally, on lanes 5&6, 6th-place Balderdash will share a couple of pitchers with 3rd-place Sun Dolphins (estimated estimated hcp 92). The balder dashers are predicted to have a bit of an off night, but split the series with the Dolphins; while the Dolphins are anticipated to drop their average a bit while they keep the series tied.
