The first night of the second half of the season is off to an inauspicious start by our Predictions engine, which completely botched its forecast for tonight. Pretty much the only thing it got right was that JoAnne Barber would picked up this week's high game (141) and series (405) for the woman. As for the men, Dennis Walling snagged this week's high game with a 234, and high series was earned by Curtis Whiles with a definitely-not-predicted 600. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Six Games Apart hoped to be able to outperform Six Games Apart, But Better, but as it turns out neither was better. Propelled by the skills of Most Valuable Bowler Dennis Walling and his above-average 592 series, 6 Games split the series with But Better. Meanwhile, Aaron Barber with his 576 series took charge of But Better as they matched their opponent in wins. Six Games Apart remains in 2nd place, while But Better remains in 3rd.
Meanwhile, on lanes 19 & 20: Three Blind Strikes apparently shoved a platter of cheese sticks down the throats of LETITSNOW, sending the outcome to the exact opposite of what was predicted. Blessed by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Curtis Whiles and his magnificent 600 series, Blind Strikes felt the glory as they squeezed Le Tits, Now. Moving on to the failed challengers, AJ Hofmann with his better-than-normal 543 series drew the spotlight of Le Tits, Now despite his team getting swept. (About the only thing the predictions got right in this matchup is that AJ did roll a 180, but not in the game that was predicted.) Three Blind Strikes remains in 4th place, while Le Tits, Now remains in 1st but loses some ground on their lead.
Bowlers standing around wondering where Curtis wandered off to at the The 200 Club tonight include: Aaron Barber (214), Curtis Whiles (212,201), and Dennis Walling (234,207)
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: AJ Hofmann rolled his ass to the top of Division 1, while Curtis Whiles whipped Division 2. In terms of overall points: AJ Hofmann governs Division 1; and JoAnne Barber leads Division 2.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 17&18, 3rd-place Six Games Apart, But Better will spend some quality time with 4th-place Three Blind Strikes (hcp 40). But Better is expected to mesmerizing and win the series; while Blind Strikes are forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
- Finally, on lanes 19&20, 1st-place LETITSNOW (hcp 62) will socialize with 2nd-place Six Games Apart. Le Tits, Now is predicted to roll a little low and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while 6 Games are anticipated to drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
