A night of super blue blood moons and randomly-dropping pins saw three teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. In addition, one bowler set a new personal best series. Monica Hufford picked up this week's high game (172) and series (509) for the women, while Aaron Barber earned this week's high game (257) and series (691) for the men. Read on for all the details!

First up, on lanes 3 & 4: Three Strikes and a Spare found their footing a the expense of Sit Down, Be Humbowl. Showcasing Monica Hufford with her above-average 509 series, Three Strikes collected 3 wins against Humbowl. Simultaneously, Steven Anthony reigned supreme in Humbowl with his above-average 588 despite his team notching only a single win. Three Strikes and a Spare climbs 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while Humbowl remains in 6th. Despite both teams starting out in the bottom half of the standings, both are showing significant improvements among all of their bowlers and are going to be fun to watch this season.

While most of us finished on-time, Zeus didn't roll his last frame until around 6:45 this morning.

On lanes 5 & 6: Mary Janes Last Frame entered a showdown to the death with Holy Sandbaggers, Batman!. In spite of the prowess of Michael Gordon with his above-average 636 series, Mary Jane got swept by the Sandbaggers. Meanwhile, #1 Power-Ranked Most Valuable Bowler Aubrey Moren mastered the Sandbaggers with his terrific 650 as they swept the competition. Mary Janes Last Frame plummets 2 spots in the standings to 3rd place, while the Sandbaggers jump 3 spots to 2nd.

On lanes 7 & 8: Despite constant missing pins and pins being pooped out of the sky at random times, Splitbowl Countries had an otherwise delightful time with PBR Me, ASAP. Led by Russell Bingham with a below-average 548 series, Splitbowl split the series with PBR. On the other side, Jeremy Varnell oversaw PBR with his also-below-average 395 as they maintained a tie. Splitbowl Countries drops 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while PBR sinks 1 spot to 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 9 & 10: WITNESS!!! did battle with HOF Sandwich. Topped by Aaron Barber with his amazing 691 series, Witness!!! celebrated a clean sweep over the Sandwich. On the other half of the score sheet, a pre-bowling Bob Brunker guided the Sandwich with his 557 despite his team getting swept. WITNESS!!! leaps 3 spots in the standings to 1st place, while the Sandwich plunges 3 spots to 5th.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Brian Byfield (492, previous best 457).

Monica Hufford claimed the season's women's high series with her 509. In addition, Aaron Barber nabbed both high game and series for the men this season with his 257 and 691, respectively.

The Tournament of Champions begins in 2 weeks. Here are how the divisions are shaping up so far:

• First, on lanes 3&4, 3rd-place Mary Janes Last Frame will roll against 8th-place PBR Me, ASAP (hcp 190). Mary Jane is expected to win the series; while PBR is likely to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
• Moving to lanes 5&6, 1st-place WITNESS!!! will test their mettle against 6th-place Sit Down, Be Humbowl (hcp 70). Witness!!! is expected to lower their team average and get swept; while Humbowl is likely to rack up a sweep.
• Then, over on lanes 7&8, 2nd-place Holy Sandbaggers, Batman! will hang out with 5th-place HOF Sandwich. The Sandbaggers are expected to lower their team average, yet still manage to win the series; while the Sandwich is likely to see their team average take a dive while they avoid getting swept.
• Finally, on lanes 9&10, 4th-place Splitbowl Countries will compete against 7th-place Three Strikes and a Spare (hcp 136). Splitbowl is expected to lower their team average, but split the series with Three Strikes; while Three Strikes are likely to keep the series tied.
