We begin the second half with no movement in the standings, at least not so far. However the matchup between the top two teams can't be reported until the alphabet team post-bowls on Monday.

First up, on lanes 7 & 8: 3/4 of Terra Bowl exchanged nervous glances with 1/2 of Stephen Hawking's Fight Club. Despite a great performance by Ben Spencer with a 429 series, Terra Bowl got swept by Fight Club. Meanwhile, Michael Mead led Hawking in their sweep with a 579 series. Terra Bowl remains in 7th place, while Stephen Hawking's Fight Club moves up 1 spot to 2nd.

On lanes 9 & 10: A now officially two-member Split It & Hit It got to hang with Ray & Stevie once more. Led by Dennis Blake and his 533 series, and assisted by Michael Smith's tentative Most Valuable Bowler performance, Split It & Hit It secured a clean sweep over Ray & Stevie. Split It & Hit It remains in 6th place, while Ray & Stevie remains in 8th.

Over on 11 & 12: Holy Sandbaggers, Batman! sparred with O'Dell Lawn Service. Led by Phil Schroeder and his 573 series, Holy Sandbaggers, Batman! managed only 1 win against O'Dell Lawn Service. Meanwhile, led by tentative #1 Power Ranked Bowler Jeremy Gregory and his 625 series (including a new personal best game of 245), O'Dell Lawn Service secured 3 wins. Holy Sandbaggers, Batman! remains in 4th place, while O'Dell Lawn Service remains in 5th.

Finally, down on lanes 13 & 14: Vote JV HoF 2016 had a time-shifted appointment with a post-bowling W.A.Q.P.T.G.B.T.E!. Led by Carl Goetz and his 641 series, Vote JV HoF 2016 secured a clean sweep over W.A.Q.P.T.G.B.T.E!. Meanwhile, led by Landon Cline and his 581 series, W.A.Q.P.T.G.B.T.E! got swept. Vote JV HoF 2016 remains in 1st place, while W.A.Q.P.T.G.B.T.E! drops 1 spot to 3rd.

The biggest news tonight though wasn't specific to any of the games, instead it deals with the number 222,228. That's the number of pins Dennis "Pops" Laube has knocked down so far as a member of our league, obliterating the old record that had been held by Ken Wilson for several years. Congratulations, Pops!

In the Tournament of Champions, Carl Goetz powered into first place in Division 1, while Jeremy Gregory did the same in Division 2. AJ Hofmann topped Division 3 and is now tied for first, and Michael Smith took the lead in Division 4.
