This week we look at the accomplishments of a couple of bowlers and make some Tournament of Champions predictions.INDIVIDUALS:
New Attendance Leader | |
Kody Karnes |
With pneumonia bringing Scoot's record-setting attendance streak to an end, we decided to take a look and see who is next in line for the attendance record. With the help of a new Top 25 list, Kody Karnes is revealed as the leader among those with the longest current attendance streaks, having not missed a single game so fart in his entire 7-season career. That's 297 games rolled without a blind or a sub. Behind him, but unable to catch him until Kody misses a game, Aaron Barber is second with 150 consecutive games -- having not missed a game since his first appearance as a full-time bowler. |
Mounting Quite a Climb | |
Sean Simmons |
Sean got off to a rocky start this season, but something happened this week that reminded that he's a pretty good bowler. Raising his average by 16 pins, his series this week was 100 pins higher than the previous week. This earned him #1 Power Ranked Bowler and a tie for #1 Head-to-Head Bowler this week. Nice comeback! |
FUN STUFF:
The Tournament of Champions Begins This Week |
Though tournament play won't start until Tuesday, we already have some thoughts about people to watch out for as potential early leaders. Phil Schroeder shows signs of getting a head start on Division 1. Seth Gunderson, who sandbagged his way into Division 2, looks to make a strong start. Michelle Tollefson, as well as both of the Seans, are poised to do some damage to Division 3. AJ Hofmann is in a strong position to clean up Division 4, but he needs to watch out for the Split Sisters as any of them who has regular attendance can do some serious damage as well. |
