For reasons unknown, that definitely had nothing to do with the first place team getting swept, the lanes started falling apart tonight! As did any chance of seeing any of 2nd thru 6th place get locked up early.

First up, on lanes 41 & 42: Ray & Stevie faced off against Hold My Beer, Watch This. Kody Karnes put up with the nonsense of his teammate(s) just long enough to bag a 665 series, and secure a clean sweep. Ray & Stevie remains in 8th place, while Hold My Beer, Watch This moves up 1 spot to 4th.

On lanes 43 & 44: It's A Trap!, incomplete due to missing a couple of Fingers, met with 404: Team Name Not Found. Led by Meghan Cummings and her 396 series, It's A Trap! managed only 1 win against 404: Team Name Not Found (after Dennis Cummings removed his glasses). Earning this week's Most Valuable Bowler award, Sean Miller topped Team Name Not Found with a 508 series to land 3 wins. It's A Trap! remains in 7th place, while 404: Team Name Not Found remains in 6th.

On lanes 45 & 46: Stephen Hawking's Dance Club boogied with Salt Water Taffy. Russell Bingham took to the dance floor with a 598 series (with a boost from a #1 Power Ranked performance by Brian Walsh and a #1 Head to Head performance by Russell Bingham), and Stephen Hawking's Dance Club first did the robot, then the worm, and finally the macarena while Salt Water Taffy kept tripping over their own feet. Ian Goetz tried to put his tap lessons to use with his 614 series, but Salt Water Taffy got swept. Stephen Hawking's Dance Club remains in 2nd place, while Salt Water Taffy remains in 1st.

Finally, down on lanes 47 & 48: Half of Holy Sandbaggers, Batman! battled half of Split It & Hit It. Led by Phil Schroeder and his 513 series, Holy Sandbaggers, Batman! secured 3 wins against Split It & Hit It.. Meanwhile Mark DeVoe's 445 series was enough to garner only 1 win for Split It. Holy Sandbaggers, Batman! remains in 3rd place, while Split It & Hit It drops 1 spot to 5th.

Next week's Tournament of Champions finale will include both of the Goetz boys, Dennis Blake, Russell Bingham, Matt O'Dell, Phil Schroeder, Brian Walsh, and Meghan Cummings.
