With Game 1 of the World Series underway, only about half the league showed up to bowl tonight. Most of us were done before 8:00, and with one team post-bowling this will be an abbreviated writeup for now.First up, on lanes 41 & 42: 404: Team Name Not Found faced off against Stephen Hawking's Dance Club. "Leading" 404 with a 482 series, Scott Murdock was eyeing a good shot at his second 600+ series before everything came crashing down in the 9th frame of game 2. Meanwhile, Russell Bingham led the Dance Club with 578 series. With his effort, plus a tentative MVB and #Power Ranked performance by Brian Walsh, Stephen Hawking's Dance Club's clean sweep moves them up 1 spot to 2nd while Not Found drops to 5th.

On lanes 43 & 44: A half Split It & Hit It made easy work of Ray & Stevie. Led by Dennis Blake and his 610 series (high game 245), Split It & Hit It secured a clean sweep to climb 1 spot 3rd place. With a high score of 245 in game 3, Blake is likely to continue his dominance of Division 2 unless Dennis "Pops" Laube manages to pull an upset in game 1 when he post-bowls.

On lanes 45 & 46: It's A Trap! faced off against Holy Sandbaggers, Batman!. Led by Andrew Finger and his 596 series, It's A Trap! wound up swept by the post-bowling Holy Sandbaggers, Batman!. LAubrey Moren led the Sandbaggers with 586 series, Holy Sandbaggers, Batman! secured a clean sweep. It's A Trap! drops 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while Holy Sandbaggers, Batman! moves up 1 spot to 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 47 & 48: A pre-bowling Salt Water Taffy faced off against Hold My Beer, Watch This, and is probably responsible for pre-planting the sticky spot on lane 48 that kept tripping up their opponents. Seth Gunderson prebowled his way to a 630 series, securing 3 wins. Kody Karnes led the Beer Holders with a 658 series, but with their hands loaded with beer could only hold onto one win. Salt Water Taffy extends their 1st place lead, while Hold My Beer sinks 2 spots to 4th.

This week in Tournament of Champions, Andrew Finger moved into a tie for second. Division 2 continues to be torn up by Dennis Blake.
