Fall 2015 Preview: Milestones to Watch For

Posted by ScooterJ August 25, 2015 Fall 2015

The Fall 2015 season begins in just a few hours, and here is a sneak preview of some milestones that should or could be achieved this season...Ian Goetz should pass David Codding in the count of 200+ games rolled either this week or next week, unless he sandbags like a chump. Freda Schroeder and Dennis Blake both have their 50th 200+ game within reach this season if they work at it.Aaron Barber is now the best currently-active bowler who has not won a championship. Could this be his season? But this season truly belongs to Carl Goetz:

  • By late September to early October, Carl should pass Ken Wilson in number of 600+ series rolled, becoming the first league member to reach 100 600+ series.
  • Carl is likely to pass Ken Wilson this season to become the bowler who has rolled the most 200+ games in league history.
  • Carl is on a roll! He is on track to knock down his 200,000th pin in early December, and will become only the third league member to do so.

Last season we set new records for Best Season in League History and Most 200+ Games in a Single Season. We did lose a few very strong bowlers over the summer, but we also picked up 8 new recruits of unknown potential. Who knows what this season may bring?
