The Spring 2010 season is now underway, with eight teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. One bowler set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (198) and series (538) for the women. As for the men, Ken M. Wilson snagged this week's high game with a 224, and high series was earned by Mitch Kempker with a 616. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 25 & 26: Empire Strikes Back alternated between bowling and dry humping 3 Pin Moon. Despite being led by Ken M. Wilson with his 586 series, the Empire accomplished only 1 win against 3 Pin Moon. Meanwhile, Ryan Doll called the shots for 3 Pin Moon with his 589 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Empire Strikes Back starts out in 6th place, while 3 Pin Moon gets going with 1st.
On lanes 27 & 28: No Pinheads tussled with Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz. With the strength of Aubrey Moren with his 549 series, the Pinheads split the series with the Schlitz. On the adjacent lane, Angela Bradford shined in the Schlitz with her 538 as they matched their opponent in wins. No Pinheads leaves the gate in 4th place, while the Schlitz gets rolling in 5th.
On lanes 29 & 30: Bowlumpkin entered a showdown to the death with Little Lebowski Urban Achievers. Notwithstanding the leadership of Rich Foster with his awe-inspiring 519 series, Bowlumpkin accomplished only 1 win against the Urban Achievers. In the meantime, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Mitch Kempker oversaw the Urban Achievers with his 616 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlumpkin begins the season in 7th place, while the Urban Achievers start off with 2nd.
Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: Lil' Devils accepted a challenge by The Prak Attack. Featuring Janelle (Laube) Lamar with her 390 series, Lil' Devils collected 3 wins against the Attack. Across the ball return, Joe Longstreet guided the Attack with his 365 despite his team notching only a single win. Lil' Devils begins with 3rd place, while the Attack commences the season with 8th.
