Fall 2009 Week 6 Robo-RecapThe sixth week of Fall 2009 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Amy Goodnow landed this week's high game for the women with a 148, and women's high series was bagged by Andrea Caudillo with a 393. As for the men, Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (256) and series (695). Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: WWJB tussled with Quick Release. Though reinforced by Dave Winger with his 405 series, WWJB accomplished only 1 win against Quick Release. Across the ball return, Ryan Doll mastered Quick Release with his above-average 629 as his team took the series with 3 wins. WWJB leaps 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Quick Release remains in 2nd.

week6On lanes 21 & 22: Split Happens had a delightful time with Rollin' J's. With Split Happens forfeiting, all Rollin' J's needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. In their battle to get within at least 40 pins of average, Jerry Krall laid down the law in Rollin' J's with his below-average 371 as they swept the competition. Split Happens remains in 10th place, while Rollin' J's remain in 7th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Ebowla faced off against Sweep The Leg, Johnny. Although topped by Jason Carpio with his above-average 588 series, Ebowla got swept by Sweep The Leg. In the midst of this, #1 Power-Ranked Ken M. Wilson shined in Sweep The Leg with his staggering 695 as they swept the competition. Ebowla remains in 6th place, while Sweep The Leg remains in 1st.

On lanes 25 & 26: Chicks With Balls matched wits with BOWLSH!T. Despite being led by Andrea Caudillo with her below-average 393 series, the Chicks accomplished only 1 win against BOWLSH!T. In the meantime, Orion Kinkaid called the shots for BOWLSH!T with his marvelous 483 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Chicks With Balls remains in 9th place, while BOWLSH!T remains in 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: BILFs kept stealing sips of beer from No Pinheads. Though featuring Scott Murdock with his 490 series, BILFs got swept by No Pinheads. While that was going down, Pat Searcy took the lead in No Pinheads with his dramatic 649 (along with a major contribution by #1 Head-to-Head and Most Valuable Bowler Aubrey Moren, as well as #1 Power Ranked Ken Wilson) as they swept the competition. BILFs drop 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while No Pinheads remain in 3rd.

Bowlers bribing their way into The 200 Club include: Jason Carpio (219), John Boren (245), Ken M. Wilson (247,256), Orion Kinkaid (231), Pat Searcy (246,248), and Ryan Doll (245,201)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Ken M. Wilson (695, previous best 693).

Adding to the excitement, the 695 rolled by Ken M. Wilson is this season's new high series for men.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Jason Carpio eradicated Division 1, while Aubrey Moren ruled Division 2. Nobody claimed victory in Division 3 (though Janelle (Laube) Lamar came closest), and Eric Summers walloped Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Pat Searcy (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Pat Searcy and Jason Carpio are both in the driver's seat (on each other's laps?) in Division 1 in a tie; Aubrey Moren reigns over Division 2; AJ Hofmann holds the reins in Division 3; and Eric Summers dominates Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 9th-place Chicks With Balls (hcp 48) will meet with 10th-place Split Happens. The Chicks are expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Split Happens are forecast to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 6th-place Ebowla will socialize with 8th-place BOWLSH!T (hcp 16). Ebowla might perform well and win the series; while BOWLSH!T ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 5th-place BILFs will hang out with 4th-place WWJB (hcp 6). BILFs will likely roll decently and sweep the series; while WWJB will probably drop their average a bit while endure a rough night.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 7th-place Rollin' J's (hcp 168) will throw some gutter balls with 3rd-place No Pinheads. Rollin' J's might maintain their current strength as they get swept; while No Pinheads ought to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 1st-place Sweep The Leg, Johnny will challenge 2nd-place Quick Release (hcp 72). Sweep The Leg is predicted to roll a little low, but split the series with Quick Release; while Quick Release is anticipated to drop their average a bit while keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
