The Fall 2009 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Julie Benson-Grant picked up this week's high game (188) and series (418) for the women, while Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (257) and series (626) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: BILFs couldn't stop inappropriately groping Sweep The Leg, Johnny. While headlined by Scott Murdock with his 447 series, BILFs got swept by Sweep The Leg. In the midst of this, Ken M. Wilson guided Sweep The Leg with his marvelous 626 (with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked John Boren) as they swept the competition. BILFs leaves the gate in 10th place, while Sweep The Leg gets going with 1st.
On lanes 21 & 22: No Pinheads deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Split Happens. Showcasing Dennis Laube with his 509 series, with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler , No Pinheads collected 3 wins against Split Happens. Meanwhile, James Long took the lead in Split Happens with his 504 despite his team notching only a single win. No Pinheads begins with 2nd place, while Split Happens commence the season with 6th.
On lanes 23 & 24: WWJB celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Chicks With Balls. Starring Dave Winger with his 452 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Rich Foster, WWJB collected 3 wins against the Chicks. While that was going down, Janelle (Laube) Lamar reigned supreme in the Chicks with her 386 despite her team notching only a single win. WWJB begins the season in 4th place, while the Chicks get rolling in 9th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Ebowla spent a romantic evening with Quick Release. Although topped by Jason Carpio with his 517 series, Ebowla accomplished only 1 win against Quick Release. On the flipside, Ryan Doll dominated Quick Release with his 505 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Ebowla gets underway in 7th place, while Quick Release begins in 3rd.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: BOWLSH!T did battle with Rollin' J's. Although blessed by Kelly Sands with his 432 series, BOWLSH!T accomplished only 1 win against Rollin' J's. On the other side, Julie Benson-Grant ruled Rollin' J's with her 418 as her team took the series with 3 wins. BOWLSH!T 8th place, while Rollin' J's 5th.

- Moving to lanes 21&22, 10th-place BILFs will hang out with 9th-place Chicks With Balls (hcp 54). BILFs might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Chicks ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
- Then, over on lanes 23&24, 1st-place Sweep The Leg, Johnny will roll against 8th-place BOWLSH!T (estimated estimated hcp 175). Sweep The Leg will likely have a bit of an off night, yet still manage to win the series; while BOWLSH!T will probably hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
