The Fall 2008 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Andrea Caudillo picked up this week's high game (182) and series (494) for the women. As for the men, Ryan Doll snagged this week's high game with a 232, and high series was earned by Kendall Kukowski with a 583. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Bad Newz Kennels accepted a challenge by Ain't No Sh!t. Demonstrating the prowess of Dennis Laube with his 482 series, the Kennels split the series with Ain't No Sh!t. Simultaneously, #1 Head-to-Head Kendall Kukowski called the shots for Ain't No Sh!t with his dramatic 583 (with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Duncan Ferber) as they matched their opponent in wins. Bad Newz Kennels starts out in 5th place, while Ain't No Sh!t starts off with 4th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Chico's Bail Bonds hung out with Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty. Topped by Ken M. Wilson with his 554 series, Chico's collected 3 wins against Spare The Rod. On the other half of the score sheet, Will Jeter drew the spotlight in Spare The Rod with his miraculous 528 despite his team notching only a single win. Chico's Bail Bonds begins with 1st place, while Spare The Rod gets going with 8th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Livin' On A Spare did battle with Dios Mios. Regardless of the star power of Tom Finley with his 344 series, Livin' On A Spare accomplished only 1 win against Dios Mios. As for the opposition, Bill Krejci showed off in Dios Mios with his 482 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Livin' On A Spare gets underway in 10th place, while Dios Mios get rolling in 2nd.
On lanes 25 & 26: Is This Billable? had a delightful time with WWJB. Led by Ryan Doll with his 524 series, Is This Billable? split the series with WWJB. In the midst of this, Justin Wehrman took the lead in WWJB with his 446 as they matched their opponent in wins. Is This Billable? begins the season in 6th place, while WWJB begins in 7th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Dave and the Wingers kept stealing sips of beer from Bowl Movement. Even though highlighted by the skills of Rob Kaszuba with his 370 series, the Wingers accomplished only 1 win against Bowl Movement. Countering this, Carter Collins commanded Bowl Movement with his 366 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Patty Morrisey) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Dave and the Wingers 9th place, while Bowl Movement 3rd.
