The Fall 2008 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Andrea Caudillo picked up this week's high game (182) and series (494) for the women. As for the men, Ryan Doll snagged this week's high game with a 232, and high series was earned by Kendall Kukowski with a 583. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Bad Newz Kennels took turns kicking the ball return with Ain't No Sh!t. Starring Dennis Laube with his 482 series, the Kennels split the series with Ain't No Sh!t. On the other half of the score sheet, #1 Head-to-Head Kendall Kukowski shined in Ain't No Sh!t with his exceptional 583 (with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Duncan Ferber) as they matched their opponent in wins. Bad Newz Kennels starts out in 5th place, while Ain't No Sh!t starts off with 4th.

On lanes 21 & 22: Chico's Bail Bonds accepted a challenge by Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty. Blessed by Ken M. Wilson with his 554 series, Chico's collected 3 wins against Spare The Rod. Simultaneously, Will Jeter oversaw Spare The Rod with his staggering 528 despite his team notching only a single win. Chico's Bail Bonds leaves the gate in 1st place, while Spare The Rod gets rolling in 8th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Livin' On A Spare traded lane malfunctions with Dios Mios. In spite of top-billing by Tom Finley with his 344 series, Livin' On A Spare accomplished only 1 win against Dios Mios. Concurrently, Bill Krejci commanded Dios Mios with his 482 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Livin' On A Spare begins with 10th place, while Dios Mios get going with 2nd.

On lanes 25 & 26: Is This Billable? waged a heated competition against WWJB. With the strength of Ryan Doll with his 524 series, Is This Billable? split the series with WWJB. While that was going down, Justin Wehrman reigned supreme in WWJB with his 446 as they matched their opponent in wins. Is This Billable? gets underway in 6th place, while WWJB begins in 7th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Dave and the Wingers entered a showdown to the death with Bowl Movement. Even though highlighted by the skills of Rob Kaszuba with his 370 series, the Wingers accomplished only 1 win against Bowl Movement. In the midst of this, Carter Collins laid down the law in Bowl Movement with his 366 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Patty Morrisey) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Dave and the Wingers 9th place, while Bowl Movement 3rd.

The Tournament of Champions begins in 3 weeks. Here are how the divisions are shaping up so far:

• First, on lanes 19&20, 6th-place Is This Billable? (estimated hcp 80) will chuck some balls with 1st-place Chico's Bail Bonds. Is This Billable? is expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Chico's are forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
• Moving to lanes 21&22, 5th-place Bad Newz Kennels will hang out with 2nd-place Dios Mios (estimated hcp 168). The Kennels might perform well, yet still manage to get swept; while Dios Mios ought to catapult their team average they rack up a sweep.
