The fourteenth week of Spring 2008 saw one team climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (194) and series (542) for the women. As for the men, Chris Rigdon and Travis Kleiner both tied for this week's high game with a 214, and high series was earned by Cory Chorpenning with a 568. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: You Don't Know Sh!t sparred with It's Britney, Bitch. Although blessed by Cory Chorpenning with his below-average 568 series, Don't Know Sh!t accomplished only 1 win against Britney. On the other side, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Jeff Unseld took the lead in Britney with his marvelous 529 as his team took the series with 3 wins. You Don't Know Sh!t remains in 2nd place, while Britney remains in 9th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Sofa King Good deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of ?. In spite of top-billing by Angela Bradford with her above-average 542 series, Sofa King accomplished only 1 win against ?. In the midst of this, John Coleman ruled ? with his above-average 540 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Joel Teply) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Sofa King Good drops 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while ? remains in 4th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Ebowla had some one-on-one time with Dr. Strangelanes, Or How I Learned To Stop Opening And Earn The Belt. Starring Travis Kleiner with his astonishing 531 series, Ebowla collected 3 wins against Dr. Strangelanes. Meanwhile, Nik Domann called the shots for Dr. Strangelanes with his 469 despite his team notching only a single win. Ebowla leaps 2 spots in the standings to 6th place, while Dr. Strangelanes remain in 5th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Split Happens accepted a challenge by Dios Mios. Highlighting the skills of Ben Carmean with his above-average 448 series, Split Happens collected 3 wins against Dios Mios. . With Dios Mios forfeiting, all Split Happens needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. However, that would not be the case. Split Happens remains in 10th place, while Dios Mios sink 1 spot to 7th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: 3 Dudes and a Doll faced off against Bad Newz Kennels. Headlined by Chris Rigdon with his above-average 551 series, 3 Dudes and a Doll split the series with the Kennels. In the meantime, Dennis Laube drew the spotlight in the Kennels with his above-average 558 as they matched their opponent in wins. 3 Dudes and a Doll remains in 3rd place, while the Kennels remain in 1st.

New
personal high games were set tonight by Travis Kleiner (214, previous best 211) and
Tom Finley (188, previous best 172). In addition, new
personal best series were rolled by Travis Kleiner (531, previous best 497) and
Amy Goodnow (374, previous best 363).
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about Division 1 as it was a complete embarassment, while John Coleman decimated Division 2. Chris Rigdon spanked Division 3, and Jeff Unseld made quick work of Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about this bracket as it was a complete embarassment.
In terms of overall points: Don Glasscock is in the driver's seat in Division 1; Dennis Laube calls the shots for Division 2; Chris Rigdon holds the reins in Division 3; and Shaun Crockett reigns over Division 4.
NEXT WEEK: - First, on lanes 19&20, 8th-place Sofa King Good will share a couple of pitchers with 3rd-place 3 Dudes and a Doll (hcp 46). Sofa King is expected to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while 3 Dudes and a Doll is forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
- Moving to lanes 21&22, 5th-place Dr. Strangelanes, Or How I Learned To Stop Opening And Earn The Belt will match wits with 9th-place It's Britney, Bitch (hcp 115). Dr. Strangelanes might perform well and win the series; while Britney ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
- Then, over on lanes 23&24, 10th-place Split Happens (hcp 24) will test their mettle against 4th-place ?. Split Happens will likely maintain their current strength as they get swept; while ? will probably raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
- Next up, on lanes 25&26, 2nd-place You Don't Know Sh!t will battle 1st-place Bad Newz Kennels (hcp 72). Don't Know Sh!t might roll a little low, but split the series with the Kennels; while the Kennels ought to raise their average while they keep the series tied.
- Finally, on lanes 27&28, 6th-place Ebowla (hcp 20) will meet with 7th-place Dios Mios. Ebowla is predicted to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Dios Mios are anticipated to drop their average a bit while avoid getting swept.
