The Spring 2007 position round is now history, and and the championship will be on us before we know it! The tenth week saw three teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (176) and series (488) for the women, while John Boren earned this week's high game (267) and series (701) for the men. First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Guttersluts had a rendezvous with Oily Balls. Blessed by #1 Power-Ranked John Boren and his breathtaking 701 series, Guttersluts celebrated a clean sweep over Oily Balls. Conversely, Pat Searcy shined in Oily Balls with his below-average 537 despite his team getting swept. Guttersluts remains in 1st place, while Oily Balls plunge 2 spots to 4th.
On lanes 17 & 18: Unstoppabowl couldn't stop inappropriately groping X9XX. Featuring Cory Chorpenning with his 562 series, Unstoppabowl split the series with X9XX. On the other half of the score sheet, Don Glasscock dominated X9XX with his above-average 677 as they matched their opponent in wins. Unstoppabowl leaps 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while X9XX moves 1 spot to 3rd.
On lanes 19 & 20: Those 4 Bowlers accepted a challenge by Churn and Burn. Led by Seth Gunderson with his dazzling 620 series, 4 Bowlers collected 3 wins against Churn and Burn. Countering this, Jason Carpio guided Churn and Burn with his below-average 492 despite his team notching only a single win. Those 4 Bowlers remains in 5th place, while Churn and Burn remains in 6th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Frickin' Ten Pin traded lane malfunctions with Doll's Balls. Regardless of the star power of Carl Goetz with his above-average 595 series, Ten Pin accomplished only 1 win against Doll's Balls. Across the ball return, #1 Head-to-Head and Most Valuable Bowler John Richardson showed off in Doll's Balls with his staggering 564 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Frickin' Ten Pin drops 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while Doll's Balls move 1 spot to 7th.
Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: King Pins tussled with T.B.D.. With top billing by Duncan Ferber with his above-average 591 series, King Pins split the series with T.B.D.. On the adjacent lane, Steve Kiernan laid down the law in T.B.D. with his above-average 579 as they matched their opponent in wins. King Pins remains in 9th place, while T.B.D. remains in 10th.

New personal high games were set tonight by Seth Gunderson (258, previous best 230) and Chris Lewis (198, previous best 177). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Seth Gunderson (620, previous best 611) and Chris Lewis (469, previous best 447). Adding to the excitement, the 701 rolled by John Boren is this season's new high series for men.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: John Boren rolled his ass to the top of Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Seth Gunderson came closest). John Richardson clobbered Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Emily Austin came closest). Finally, Freda Schroeder (Division 2) had her way with this week's Interdivisional bracket.Finally, Kendall Kukowski (Division 4) had his way with this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: John Boren calls the shots for Division 1; Seth Gunderson reigns over Division 2; Deena Slinkard and Dave Hickerson top Division 3 in a tie; and Kendall Kukowski dominates Division 4.
