Spring 2007 Week 6 Robo-RecapThe sixth week of Spring 2007 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. One bowler roll a new personal best game. Sara Bryant landed this week's high game for the women with a 178, and women's high series was bagged by Angela Bradford with a 496. As for the men, John Coleman snagged this week's high game with a 225, and high series was earned by Pat Searcy with a 621. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Unstoppabowl matched wits with Churn and Burn. Starring Cory Chorpenning with his 577 series, Unstoppabowl collected 3 wins against Churn and Burn. In the midst of this, James Cholke shined in Churn and Burn with his below-average 462 despite his team notching only a single win. Unstoppabowl remains in 1st place, while Churn and Burn remains in 7th.

week6On lanes 17 & 18: Those 4 Bowlers tussled with Frickin' Ten Pin. Led by Seth Gunderson with his above-average 544 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Shaun Crockett, 4 Bowlers collected 3 wins against Ten Pin. Meanwhile, Carl Goetz guided Ten Pin with his 525 despite his team notching only a single win. Those 4 Bowlers leap 3 spots in the standings to 5th place, while Ten Pin sinks 1 spot to 6th.

On lanes 19 & 20: Guttersluts accepted a challenge by T.B.D.. Headlined by John Boren with his 525 series, Guttersluts celebrated a clean sweep over T.B.D.. Countering this, Steve Kiernan took the lead in T.B.D. with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 473 despite his team getting swept. Guttersluts remains in 3rd place, while T.B.D. plunges 3 spots to 9th.

On lanes 21 & 22: X9XX had a rendezvous with King Pins. With the strength of Dennis Laube with his 494 series, X9XX collected 3 wins against King Pins. On the adjacent lane, John Coleman mastered King Pins with his above-average 595 despite his team notching only a single win. X9XX remains in 4th place, while King Pins remain in 10th.

Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Oily Balls alternated between bowling and dry humping Doll's Balls. Featuring #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Pat Searcy and his above-average 621 series, Oily Balls split the series with Doll's Balls. On the other side, Ryan Doll called the shots for Doll's Balls with his 489 as they matched their opponent in wins. Oily Balls remains in 2nd place, while Doll's Balls move 1 spot to 8th.

Bowlers slipping into The 200 Club include: Cory Chorpenning (207), Dave Hickerson (205), John Coleman (225,205), Pat Searcy (222,203), and Seth Gunderson (209)

A new personal high game was set tonight by Dave Hickerson (205, previous best 193).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though Ken M. Wilson came closest), while Seth Gunderson shut down Division 2. Angela Bradford spanked Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Kendall Kukowski came closest). Finally, Pat Searcy (Division 1) dominated this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: Pat Searcy reigns over Division 1; Bill Krejci and Seth Gunderson run the show in Division 2 in a tie; Deena Slinkard and Angela Bradford call the shots in Division 3 in a tie; and Kendall Kukowski holds the reins in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 15&16, 4th-place X9XX will hang out with 5th-place Those 4 Bowlers (hcp 26). X9XX is expected to roll a little low and get swept; while 4 Bowlers are forecast to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
  • Moving to lanes 17&18, 3rd-place Guttersluts will face 10th-place King Pins (hcp 83). Guttersluts might roll a little low, yet still manage to win the series; while King Pins ought to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 19&20, 2nd-place Oily Balls will socialize with 1st-place Unstoppabowl (hcp 50). Oily Balls will likely roll decently and win the series; while Unstoppabowl will probably hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Next up, on lanes 21&22, 6th-place Frickin' Ten Pin will test their mettle against 8th-place Doll's Balls (hcp 46). Ten Pin might maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Doll's Balls; while Doll's Balls ought to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 23&24, 9th-place T.B.D. (hcp 32) will compete against 7th-place Churn and Burn. T.B.D. is predicted to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Churn and Burn is anticipated to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
