Fall 2006 Week 11 Robo-RecapThe eleventh week of Fall 2006 saw four teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (165) and series (457) for the women, while James Long earned this week's high game (230) and series (631) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: All Belts Are Off kept stealing sips of beer from Hez-Bowl-lah. In spite of the prowess of David Codding with his below-average 547 series, the Belt got swept by Hez-Bowl-lah. Conversely, Most Valuable Bowler Jason Carpio dominated Hez-Bowl-lah with his miraculous 552 as they swept the competition. All Belts Are Off plummets 2 spots in the standings to 4th place, while Hez-Bowl-lah jumps 2 spots to 3rd.

week11On lanes 17 & 18: Split Happens accepted a challenge by I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter. Featuring #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head James Long and his remarkable 631 series, Split Happens collected 3 wins against Not Gutter. On the adjacent lane, Ryan Doll reigned supreme in Not Gutter with his above-average 536 despite his team notching only a single win. Split Happens remains in 1st place, while Not Gutter sinks 1 spot to 9th.

On lanes 19 & 20: Guttersluts spent a romantic evening with New Balls, Old Rack. With the Guttersluts forfeiting, all the Old Rack needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. In their battle to get within at least 40 pins of average, Ken M. Wilson mastered the Old Rack with his 543 as they swept the competition. Guttersluts remains in 10th place, while the Old Rack moves 1 spot to 2nd.

On lanes 21 & 22: TBD alternated between bowling and dry humping Frickin' Ten Pins. Blessed by John Boren with his above-average 538 series, TBD collected 3 wins against Frickin' Ten Pins. Simultaneously, Freda Schroeder ruled Frickin' Ten Pins with her 457 despite her team notching only a single win. TBD leaps 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while Frickin' Ten Pins remain in 7th.

Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Bowlkake2 couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Manute Bowl. In spite of top-billing by Thomas Lin with his above-average 586 series, Bowlkake2 got swept by Manute Bowl. On the flipside, Nick Crofoot guided Manute Bowl with his staggering 465 as they swept the competition. Bowlkake2 plummets 2 spots in the standings to 6th place, while Manute Bowl moves 1 spot to 5th.

Bowlers enjoying a guest admission to The 200 Club include: Bob Brunker (214), David Codding (212), James Long (230,202), Jason Carpio (202), John Boren (206), Ken M. Wilson (206), Ryan Doll (217), and Thomas Lin (201)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by James Long (631, previous best 630).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Thomas Lin won Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Jason Carpio came closest). James Long vanquished Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Travis Kleiner came closest). Finally, Ryan Doll (Division 2) topped this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: Stefan Miller holds the reins in Division 1; Ryan Doll and Rich DeYoung call the shots in Division 2 in a tie; Scott Murdock tops Division 3; and Andy McLeod governs Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 15&16, 8th-place TBD (hcp 86) will compete against 2nd-place New Balls, Old Rack. TBD is expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Old Rack is forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 17&18, 4th-place All Belts Are Off will test their mettle against 6th-place Bowlkake2 (hcp 34). The Belt might perform well and sweep the series; while Bowlkake2 ought to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Then, over on lanes 19&20, 3rd-place Hez-Bowl-lah will battle 5th-place Manute Bowl (hcp 57). Hez-Bowl-lah will likely roll decently and win the series; while Manute Bowl will probably raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Next up, on lanes 21&22, 9th-place I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter will roll against 10th-place Guttersluts (hcp 55). Not Gutter might perform well and win the series; while the Guttersluts ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Finally, on lanes 23&24, 1st-place Split Happens (hcp 42) will throw some gutter balls with 7th-place Frickin' Ten Pins. Split Happens are predicted to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Frickin' Ten Pins are anticipated to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
