The fifth week of Fall 2006 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (209) and series (477) for the women, while Pete Forster earned this week's high game (277) and series (699) for the men. First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Split Happens matched wits with Manute Bowl. Notwithstanding the leadership of Nick Allegri with his below-average 453 series, Split Happens accomplished only 1 win against Manute Bowl. On the adjacent lane, Andy McLeod drew the spotlight in Manute Bowl with his 403 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Split Happens remains in 2nd place, while Manute Bowl sinks 1 spot to 9th.
On lanes 17 & 18: TBD spent a romantic evening with Guttersluts. Starring David Parre with his above-average 490 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Jason Caton, TBD celebrated a clean sweep over the Guttersluts. . With the Guttersluts forfeiting, all TBD needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. TBD leaps 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while the Guttersluts remain in 10th.
On lanes 19 & 20: Bowlkake2 shared a few beers with Hez-Bowl-lah. Headlined by Tim Segraves with his above-average 532 series, Bowlkake2 collected 3 wins against Hez-Bowl-lah. Across the ball return, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Pete Forster took the lead in Hez-Bowl-lah with his phenomenal 699 despite his team notching only a single win. Bowlkake2 remains in 6th place, while Hez-Bowl-lah remains in 4th.
On lanes 21 & 22: All Belts Are Off couldn't stop inappropriately groping New Balls, Old Rack. Even though highlighted by the skills of David Codding with his below-average 572 series, the Belt got swept by the Old Rack. On the other half of the score sheet, Ken M. Wilson dominated the Old Rack with his 556 as they swept the competition. All Belts Are Off plummets 2 spots in the standings to 3rd place, while the Old Rack jumps 2 spots to 1st.
Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Frickin' Ten Pins took turns kicking the ball return with I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter. With top billing by John Richardson with his amazing 537 series, Frickin' Ten Pins collected 3 wins against Not Gutter. Meanwhile, Ryan Doll showed off in Not Gutter with his above-average 514 despite his team notching only a single win. Frickin' Ten Pins remains in 7th place, while Not Gutter remains in 5th.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though Nick Allegri came closest), while John Richardson vanquished Division 2. Phil Schroeder spanked Division 3, and Jason Caton staked a claim for the Iron Throne in Division 4. Finally, Ken M. Wilson (Division 1) had his way with this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: Nick Allegri reigns over Division 1; John Richardson leads Division 2; Phil Schroeder is in the driver's seat in Division 3; and Andy McLeod tops Division 4.

- Next up, on lanes 21&22, 8th-place TBD will face 5th-place I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter (hcp 23). TBD might perform well and win the series; while Not Gutter ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
- Finally, on lanes 23&24, 1st-place New Balls, Old Rack will tussle with 4th-place Hez-Bowl-lah (hcp 44). The Old Rack is predicted to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Hez-Bowl-lah is anticipated to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
