The Fall 2006 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Deena Slinkard landed this week's high game for the women with a 192, and women's high series was bagged by Freda Schroeder with a 502. As for the men, David Codding earned this week's high game (222) and series (623). Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 11 & 12: New Balls, Old Rack traded lane malfunctions with Guttersluts. Highlighting the skills of Ken M. Wilson with his 527 series, the Old Rack collected 3 wins against the Guttersluts. Conversely, Kris Hiestand showed off in the Guttersluts with his 347 despite his team notching only a single win. New Balls, Old Rack gets underway in 4th place, while the Guttersluts commence the season with 9th.

On lanes 13 & 14: Hez-Bowl-lah took turns kicking the ball return with All Belts Are Off. Though featuring Nik Domann with his 473 series, Hez-Bowl-lah accomplished only 1 win against the Belt. Across the ball return, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head David Codding ruled the Belt with his 623 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Hez-Bowl-lah leaves the gate in 6th place, while the Belt begins in 2nd.

On lanes 15 & 16: Frickin' Ten Pins couldn't stop inappropriately groping TBD. Showcasing Carl Goetz with his 539 series, Frickin' Ten Pins celebrated a clean sweep over TBD. On the other side, David Parre drew the spotlight in TBD with his 456 despite his team getting swept. Frickin' Ten Pins begins the season in 1st place, while TBD gets rolling in 10th.

On lanes 17 & 18: Manute Bowl had some one-on-one time with Bowlkake2. Although blessed by Andy McLeod with his 435 series, Manute Bowl accomplished only 1 win against Bowlkake2. As for the opposition, Thomas Lin oversaw Bowlkake2 with his 548 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Manute Bowl begins with 7th place, while Bowlkake2 starts off with 3rd.

Finally, down on lanes 19 & 20: I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter alternated splits with Split Happens. In spite of the prowess of Ryan Doll with his 475 series, Not Gutter accomplished only 1 win against Split Happens. Concurrently, Nick Allegri reigned supreme in Split Happens with his 545 as his team took the series with 3 wins. I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter 8th place, while Split Happens 5th.

The Tournament of Champions begins in 3 weeks. Here are how the divisions are shaping up so far:

• First, on lanes 15&16, 7th-place Manute Bowl (hcp 49) will tussle with 6th-place Hez-Bowl-lah. Manute Bowl is expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Hez-Bowl-lah is forecast to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
