Spring 2005 Week 15 Robo-RecapA stagnated fifteenth week of Spring 2005 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. One bowler roll a new personal best game. Freda Schroeder landed this week's high game for the women with a 158, and women's high series was bagged by Angela Bradford with a 464. As for the men, Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (223) and series (580).Meanwhile, Tournament of Champions is officially down to its final eight bowlers, who will face each other next week competing for two cash prizes! Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Big Pin Pin celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Nellielocks and the 3 Spares. With Pin Pin forfeiting, all Nellielocks needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. However, that would not be the case. In their battle to get within at least 40 pins of average, Rich DeYoung drew the spotlight in Nellielocks with his above-average 525 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Big Pin Pin remains in 8th place, while Nellielocks remain in 4th.

week15On lanes 21 & 22: 4 Play shared a platter of cheese sticks with Handicrappers. Led by Pat Searcy with his 580 series, 4 Play collected 3 wins against Handicrappers. In the meantime, Kris Hiestand, Ashley Razak commanded Handicrappers with their 390 despite their team notching only a single win. 4 Play remains in 2nd place, while Handicrappers remain in 5th.

On lanes 23 & 24: The Incredibowls spent some quality time with All Belt, No Buckle. Even though highlighted by the skills of Carl Goetz with his below-average 498 series, The Incredibowls got swept by the Belt. On the other half of the score sheet, Seth Gunderson oversaw the Belt with his above-average 515 (benefitted greatly by real star — trifecta-winner #1 Power-Ranked, #1 Head-to-Head, and Most Valuable Bowler Scott Murdock) as they swept the competition. The Incredibowls remains in 6th place, while the Belt remains in 1st.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Bowlingstar Galactica shared a few beers with Sub Parre. Starring Jason Carpio with his above-average 542 series, the Galactica split the series with Sub Parre. Across the ball return, Andy Metzler called the shots for Sub Parre with his above-average 500 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bowlingstar Galactica remains in 7th place, while Sub Parre remains in 3rd.

Bowlers lounging at The 200 Club include: Jason Carpio (221), Pat Searcy (223), Rich DeYoung (202), and Seth Gunderson (209)

A new personal high game was set tonight by Jason Carpio (221, previous best 213).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Rich DeYoung creamed Division 1, while Seth Gunderson got the better of Division 2. Scott Murdock ruled Division 3, and Kris Hiestand eradicated Division 4. Congratulations to our division champions! The following eight people will compete next week for the big prize!

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 1st-place All Belt, No Buckle (hcp 2) will face 2nd-place 4 Play. The Belt is expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while 4 Play is forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 3rd-place Sub Parre (hcp 78) will meet with 4th-place Nellielocks and the 3 Spares. Sub Parre might perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Nellielocks ought to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 5th-place Handicrappers (hcp 73) will hang out with 6th-place The Incredibowls. Handicrappers will likely maintain their current strength as they get swept; while The Incredibowls will probably raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 7th-place Bowlingstar Galactica will chill with 8th-place Big Pin Pin (hcp 43). The Galactica is predicted to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Pin Pin is anticipated to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)

Spring 2005 Week 14 Robo-RecapA stagnated fourteenth week of Spring 2005 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (213) and series (550) for the women, while Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (222) and series (604) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Bowlingstar Galactica couldn't stop inappropriately groping All Belt, No Buckle. Even though highlighted by the skills of Jason Carpio with his 516 series, the Galactica accomplished only 1 win against the Belt. Concurrently, Demond Robinson commanded the Belt with his 518 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlingstar Galactica remains in 7th place, while the Belt remains in 1st.

An irritated Kody waits for Russell to bowl.On lanes 21 & 22: The Incredibowls matched wits with Sub Parre. Countering this, Most Valuable Bowler Ashley Razak drew the spotlight in Handicrappers with her above-average 422 as they matched their opponent in wins. Big Pin Pin remains in 8th place, while Handicrappers remain in 5th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Nellielocks and the 3 Spares had some one-on-one time with 4 Play. Blessed by Rich DeYoung with his above-average 543 series, Nellielocks collected 3 wins against 4 Play.
