Fall 2004 Week 9 Robo-RecapThe ninth week of Fall 2004 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (193) and series (541) for the women, while Bill Krejci earned this week's high game (267) and series (595) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Paul Hamms did battle with Die Schlag-Maschinen. Topped by Bill Krejci with his above-average 595 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Mark McClendon, the Hamms celebrated a clean sweep over Die Schlag-Maschinen. Simultaneously, Amanda Schulte commanded Die Schlag-Maschinen with her phenomenal 425 despite her team getting swept. Paul Hamms leap 2 spots in the standings to 2nd place, while Die Schlag-Maschinen remains in 8th.

This was done rather often this week by people we wouldn't normally expect. On lanes 21 & 22: Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers matched wits with Ashley Razabacks. Even though highlighted by the skills of Dennis Laube with his below-average 446 series, the Ninjas accomplished only 1 win against the Razabacks. Across the ball return, Stefan Paz guided the Razabacks with his 462 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers remains in 7th place, while the Razabacks remain in 1st.

On lanes 23 & 24: A Solid No. 2 had a rendezvous with Recreation Intoxication. With top billing by Corey Weinfurt with his 513 series, with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Andee Weinfurt, No. 2 collected 3 wins against Recreation . Concurrently, Bob Brunker laid down the law in Recreation with his 542 (with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler ) despite his team notching only a single win. A Solid No. 2 leaps 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while Recreation plunges 2 spots to 4th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Bowlkake alternated splits with The Belt Strikes Back. Although blessed by Justin Strelow with his above-average 558 series, Bowlkake accomplished only 1 win against the Belt. In the midst of this, Demond Robinson dominated the Belt with his above-average 572 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlkake drops 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while the Belt remains in 3rd.

Bowlers ducking past the bouncer at The 200 Club include: Bill Krejci (267), Bob Brunker (203), Demond Robinson (211), Ken M. Wilson (224), and Nik Domann (246)

New personal high games were set tonight by Nik Domann (246, previous best 213) and Bill Krejci (267, previous best 236). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Bill Krejci (595, previous best 592) and Andee Weinfurt (490, previous best 464).

Angela Bradford claimed the season's women's high series with her 541. In addition, Bill Krejci nabbed this season's men's high game with his 267.

The 267 rolled by Bill Krejci is the new 2nd-best game in league history!
The 541 rolled by Angela Bradford is the new 10th-best women's series in league history!

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Bill Krejci made quick work of Division 1, while Jason Carpio claimed victory in Division 2. Amanda Schulte walloped Division 3, and Ray Haynes triumphed over his enemies in Division 4. In terms of overall points: Pat Searcy calls the shots for Division 1; Jason Carpio runs the show in Division 2; Mike Killion, Janelle (Laube) Lamar, and Amanda Schulte lead Division 3 in a tie; and Ray Haynes leads Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 3rd-place The Belt Strikes Back (hcp 14) will tussle with 4th-place Recreation Intoxication. The Belt is expected to perform well and sweep the series; while Recreation is forecast to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 6th-place Bowlkake will roll against 5th-place A Solid No. 2 (estimated hcp 68). Bowlkake might maintain their current strength as they win the series; while No. 2 ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 2nd-place Paul Hamms will share a couple of pitchers with 7th-place Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers (hcp 12). The Hamms will likely roll decently, but split the series with the Ninjas; while the Ninjas will probably raise their average while they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 8th-place Die Schlag-Maschinen (hcp 70) will compete against 1st-place Ashley Razabacks. Die Schlag-Maschinen is predicted to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Razabacks are anticipated to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)

Fall 2004 Week 7 Robo-RecapBy now every team has bowled each other once, so next week is the Fall 2004 position round. But enough about next week, you came here to read about this week. The seventh week saw one team climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. One bowler roll a new personal best game. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (163) and series (466) for the women, while James Long earned this week's high game (239) and series (598) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Recreation Intoxication kept stealing sips of beer from Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers. Countering this, Dennis Laube called the shots for the Ninjas with his below-average 447 despite his team notching only a single win. Recreation Intoxication remains in 1st place, while the Ninjas sink 1 spot to 3rd.

week7On lanes 21 & 22: Die Schlag-Maschinen chucked gutter balls with Bowlkake. With the Razabacks forfeiting, all the Belt needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. In their battle to get within at least 40 pins of average, Nik Domann dominated the Belt with his above-average 535 as they swept the competition. Ashley Razabacks remains in 8th place, while the Belt jumps 4 spots to 2nd.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: A Solid No. 2 sparred with Paul Hamms. Demonstrating the prowess of Eric Lynch with his 477 series, No. 2 collected 3 wins against the Hamms. • Moving to lanes 21&22, 7th-place Die Schlag-Maschinen (hcp 147) will hang out with 4th-place Bowlkake. Die Schlag-Maschinen might perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Bowlkake ought to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 8th-place Ashley Razabacks (hcp 497) will tussle with 6th-place The Belt Strikes Back. The Razabacks will likely drop their averages like a brick as they get swept; while the Belt will probably hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 5th-place A Solid No. 2 will chuck some balls with 3rd-place Paul Hamms (hcp 53). No. 2 is predicted to maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while the Hamms are anticipated to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
