The third week of Fall 2004 saw two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (163) and series (439) for the women, while Dennis Laube earned this week's high game (233) and series (566) for the men. And the Tournament of Champions divisions are now set, ready for one-on-one action to begin next week! Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Paul Hamms alternated between bowling and dry humping Recreation Intoxication. Headlined by Bill Krejci with his above-average 550 series, the Hamms collected 3 wins against Recreation . On the adjacent lane, Pat Searcy called the shots for Recreation with his above-average 545 despite his team notching only a single win. Paul Hamms leap 3 spots in the standings to 3rd place, while Recreation sinks 1 spot to 6th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Bowlkake celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Ashley Razabacks. Led by Most Valuable Bowler Thomas Lin and his above-average 555 series, Bowlkake collected 3 wins against the Razabacks. . With the Razabacks forfeiting, all Bowlkake needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. However, that would not be the case. Bowlkake remains in 2nd place, while the Razabacks remain in 8th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers kept stealing sips of beer from A Solid No. 2. Highlighting the skills of #1 Power-Ranked Dennis Laube and his stunning 566 series, the Ninjas celebrated a clean sweep over No. 2. Across the ball return, Corey Weinfurt shined in No. 2 with his 535 (with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler ) despite his team getting swept. Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers remains in 1st place, while No. 2 plunges 3 spots to 7th.
Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: The Belt Strikes Back chucked gutter balls with Die Schlag-Maschinen. With the strength of Demond Robinson with his 514 series, the Belt collected 3 wins against Die Schlag-Maschinen. On the other side, Amanda Schulte reigned supreme in Die Schlag-Maschinen with her above-average 355 despite her team notching only a single win. The Belt Strikes Back leaps 3 spots in the standings to 4th place, while Die Schlag-Maschinen plunges 2 spots to 5th.

NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 19&20, 7th-place A Solid No. 2 will throw some gutter balls with 5th-place Die Schlag-Maschinen (hcp 127). No. 2 is expected to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Die Schlag-Maschinen is forecast to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
- Moving to lanes 21&22, 1st-place Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers (hcp 64) will roll against 4th-place The Belt Strikes Back. The Ninjas might perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Belt ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
- Then, over on lanes 23&24, 2nd-place Bowlkake will chill with 3rd-place Paul Hamms (hcp 104). Bowlkake will likely have a bit of an off night, but split the series with the Hamms; while the Hamms will probably hold steady as they keep the series tied.
- Finally, on lanes 25&26, 8th-place Ashley Razabacks (hcp 494) will test their mettle against 6th-place Recreation Intoxication. The Razabacks are predicted to tank their averages considerably as they get swept; while Recreation is anticipated to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
