Fall 2003 Week 3 Robo-RecapThe third week of Fall 2003 saw four teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (242) and series (575) for the women. As for the men, Steve Robinson snagged this week's high game with a 205, and high series was earned by Nik Domann with a 538. And the Tournament of Champions divisions are now set, ready for one-on-one action to begin next week! Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Spare Change alternated between bowling and dry humping Wolverines. Regardless of the star power of Demond Robinson with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 465 series, Spare Change accomplished only 1 win against the Wolverines. Countering this, Dennis Laube reigned supreme in the Wolverines with his 442 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Spare Change drops 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while the Wolverines move 1 spot to 2nd.

week3On lanes 19 & 20: Anchors Aweigh! had a rendezvous with Bowl me Ishmael!. Showcasing David Codding with his below-average 528 series, the Anchors missed a clean sweep over Ishmael by just one pin.Meanwhile, Paul Linder commanded Ishmael with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 354 as his team missed getting swept by just one pin. Anchors Aweigh! remains in 1st place, while Ishmael plunges 3 spots to 7th.

On lanes 21 & 22: Atomic Goo kept stealing sips of beer from Bowlers of Mass Confusion. Though featuring Steve Robinson with his above-average 499 series, Atomic Goo accomplished only 1 win against Mass Confusion. Across the ball return, Jason Carpio drew the spotlight in Mass Confusion with his exceptional 501 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Atomic Goo drops 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while Mass Confusion jumps 2 spots to 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Gutter Minds spent some quality time with Theee Beeelt. Topped by #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Angela Bradford and her splendid 575 series, Gutter Minds split the series with Theee Beeelt. On the flipside, #1 Head-to-Head Nik Domann mastered Theee Beeelt with his phenomenal 538 as they matched their opponent in wins. Gutter Minds leap 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Theee Beeelt moves 1 spot to 5th.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 17&18, 6th-place Bowlers of Mass Confusion will chill with 5th-place Theee Beeelt (hcp 10). Mass Confusion is expected to perform well, but split the series with Theee Beeelt; while Theee Beeelt is forecast to raise their average while they keep the series tied.
  • Moving to lanes 19&20, 8th-place Atomic Goo (hcp 79) will face 4th-place Gutter Minds. Atomic Goo might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Gutter Minds ought to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 21&22, 1st-place Anchors Aweigh! will throw some gutter balls with 3rd-place Spare Change (hcp 64). The Anchors will likely have a bit of an off night and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Spare Change will probably raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 23&24, 7th-place Bowl me Ishmael! (estimated hcp 54) will socialize with 2nd-place Wolverines. Ishmael is predicted to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while the Wolverines are anticipated to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
