A stagnated fifteenth week of Fall 2002 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (186) and series (432) for the women, while Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (214) and series (582) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Pop Gunns sparred with Team 6. Blessed by Ken M. Wilson with his above-average 561 series, Pop Gunns celebrated a clean sweep over Team 6. Simultaneously, Nik Domann showed off in Team 6 with his commanding 495 despite his team getting swept. Pop Gunns remains in 1st place, while Team 6 remains in 4th.
On lanes 19 & 20: UnaBowlers couldn't stop inappropriately groping GRRR. Highlighting the skills of trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Corey Weinfurt and his spectacular 528 series, the UnaBowlers celebrated a clean sweep over GRRR. Concurrently, Byron Hester dominated GRRR with his 370 despite his team getting swept. UnaBowlers remains in 5th place, while GRRR remains in 6th.
Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Team 5 shared a few beers with Top Guns. Though featuring David Codding with his above-average 500 series, Team 5 accomplished only 1 win against Top Guns. On the other side, Pat Searcy ruled Top Guns with his above-average 582 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Team 5 remains in 3rd place, while Top Guns remain in 2nd.
Bowlers who stripped naked and shared a cozy hottub together in a back room at The 200 Club include: Bill Krejci (201), Ken M. Wilson (204), and Pat Searcy (214,202)
A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Nik Domann (495, previous best 494).
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 17&18, 1st-place Pop Gunns will face 2nd-place Top Guns (hcp 37). Pop Gunns are expected to see their averages fall off a cliff as they get swept; while Top Guns are forecast to see their team average take a dive even though they rack up a sweep.
- Moving to lanes 19&20, 3rd-place Team 5 will throw some gutter balls with 4th-place Team 6 (hcp 29). Team 5 might have their averages plummet as they get swept; while Team 6 ought to see their team average take a dive even though they rack up a sweep.
- Finally, on lanes 21&22, 5th-place UnaBowlers will share a couple of pitchers with 6th-place GRRR (hcp 73). The UnaBowlers are predicted to drop their averages like a brick as they get swept; while GRRR is anticipated to drop their average a bit even as they rack up a sweep.
