The eleventh week of Fall 2002 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (165) and series (466) for the women. As for the men, Corey Weinfurt snagged this week's high game with a 192, and high series was earned by Dennis Laube with a 548. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 17 & 18: GRRR kept stealing sips of beer from Pop Gunns. Despite being led by Sharon Turner with her above-average 433 series, GRRR accomplished only 1 win against Pop Gunns. On the adjacent lane, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Dennis Laube commanded Pop Gunns with his dramatic 548 as his team took the series with 3 wins. GRRR remains in 6th place, while Pop Gunns remain in 2nd.
On lanes 19 & 20: Team 6 traded lane malfunctions with Team 5. Featuring Jim Jones with his breathtaking 500 series, Team 6 celebrated a clean sweep over Team 5. On the flipside, David Parre drew the spotlight in Team 5 with his below-average 451 despite his team getting swept. Team 6 remains in 4th place, while Team 5 plunges 2 spots to 3rd.
Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: UnaBowlers alternated splits with Top Guns. Even though highlighted by the skills of Corey Weinfurt with his above-average 472 series, the UnaBowlers got swept by Top Guns. Across the ball return, Bob Brunker showed off in Top Guns with his 489 as they swept the competition. UnaBowlers remains in 5th place, while Top Guns jump 2 spots to 1st.

New
personal best series were rolled tonight by Dennis Laube (548, previous best 521) and
Tracey Robertson (385, previous best 372).

NEXT WEEK: - First, on lanes 17&18, 4th-place Team 6 will battle 1st-place Top Guns. Team 6 is expected to see their averages fall off a cliff, but split the series with Top Guns; while Top Guns are forecast to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
- Moving to lanes 19&20, 2nd-place Pop Gunns (hcp 400) will socialize with 5th-place UnaBowlers. Pop Gunns might tank their averages considerably as they get swept; while the UnaBowlers ought to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Finally, on lanes 21&22, 6th-place GRRR will throw some gutter balls with 3rd-place Team 5. GRRR is predicted to have the bottom drop out of their averages, but split the series with Team 5; while Team 5 is anticipated to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)

FROM THE GUTTER (GUTTER QUOTE)
"So you have no frame of reference here, Ken. You're like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie and wants to know..."
