Spring 2002 Week 6 Robo-RecapWe are now halfway through the Spring 2002 season, so time is running out for those teams who want a shot at the championship to position themselves. A stagnated sixth week resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. One bowler set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (209) and series (475) for the women, while Bill Krejci earned this week's high game (211) and series (585) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 1 & 2: Fab Four celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Top Guns. Even though highlighted by the skills of Ken M. Wilson with his below-average 451 series, Fab Four accomplished only 1 win against Top Guns. Concurrently, Bob Brunker showed off in Top Guns with his above-average 567 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Fab Four remains in 2nd place, while Top Guns remain in 1st.

Finally, down on lanes 3 & 4: Team 3 tussled with Team 2. Showcasing trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Bill Krejci and his remarkable 585 series, Team 3 collected 3 wins against Team 2. Countering this, Jeff Gragg oversaw Team 2 with his 469 despite his team notching only a single win. Team 3 remains in 4th place, while Team 2 remains in 3rd.

Bowlers getting the VIP treatment in The 200 Club include: Bill Krejci (211), Bob Brunker (202,201), Freda Schroeder (209), and Pat Searcy (206)

New personal high games were set tonight by Bill Krejci (211, previous best 200) and Freda Schroeder (209, previous best 191). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Bill Krejci (585, previous best 488).

Adding to the excitement, the 209 rolled by Freda Schroeder is this season's new high game among women.

The 209 rolled by Freda Schroeder is the new 6th-best women's game in league history! (As well as the league's 11th-best game overall.)
The 211 rolled by Bill Krejci is the new 6th-best men's game in league history!
The 585 rolled by Bill Krejci is the new 5th-best men's series in league history!

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 1&2, 1st-place Top Guns will hang out with 2nd-place Fab Four. Top Guns are expected to tank their averages considerably, but split the series with Fab Four; while Fab Four is forecast to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 3&4, 3rd-place Team 2 will socialize with 4th-place Team 3. Team 2 is predicted to see a pretty significant "market correction" to their averages, but split the series with Team 3; while Team 3 is anticipated to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
