Posted by BowlingBot On March - 25 - 2002ADD COMMENTS

Spring 2002 Week 7 Robo-RecapA stagnated seventh week of Spring 2002 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. One bowler roll a new personal best game. Freda Schroeder landed this week's high game for the women with a 196, and women's high series was bagged by Angela Bradford with a 529. As for the men, Bill Krejci and Ken M. Wilson both tied for this week's high game with a 212, and high series was earned by Ken M. Wilson with a 565. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 1 & 2: Top Guns deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Fab Four. Demonstrating the prowess of Pat Searcy with his 557 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Freda Schroeder, Top Guns collected 3 wins against Fab Four. In the meantime, Ken M. Wilson shined in Fab Four with his above-average 565 despite his team notching only a single win. Top Guns remains in 1st place, while Fab Four remains in 2nd.

Finally, down on lanes 3 & 4: Team 2 did battle with Team 3. In spite of top-billing by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Angela Bradford and her breathtaking 529 series, Team 2 accomplished only 1 win against Team 3. As for the opposition, Bill Krejci reigned supreme in Team 3 with his commanding 552 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Team 2 remains in 3rd place, while Team 3 remains in 4th.

Bowlers who lied to their significant other claiming bowling was running long then went out for after-bowling drinks at The 200 Club include: Bill Krejci (212), Ken M. Wilson (212), and Pat Searcy (210)

A new personal high game was set tonight by Bill Krejci (212, previous best 211).

Adding to the excitement, the 529 rolled by Angela Bradford is this season's new high series among women.

The 196 rolled by Freda Schroeder is the new 10th-best women's game in league history!
The 212 rolled by Bill Krejci is the new 6th-best men's game in league history!
The 529 rolled by Angela Bradford is the new 4th-best women's series in league history! (This is also the league's 18th-best series overall.)
The 565 rolled by Ken M. Wilson is the new 8th-best men's series in league history!

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 1&2, 3rd-place Team 2 will test their mettle against 2nd-place Fab Four. Team 2 is expected to watch their averages take a plunge, but split the series with Fab Four; while Fab Four is forecast to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 3&4, 1st-place Top Guns will share a couple of pitchers with 4th-place Team 3. Top Guns are predicted to have the bottom drop out of their averages, but split the series with Team 3; while Team 3 is anticipated to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)

Posted by BowlingBot On March - 4 - 2002ADD COMMENTS

Spring 2002 Week 4 Robo-RecapThe Spring 2002 position round is now history, and and the championship will be on us before we know it! The fourth week saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Angela Bradford landed this week's high game for the women with a 187, and women's high series was bagged by Angela Bradford and Janelle (Laube) Lamar, who tied with a 466. As for the men, Pat Searcy snagged this week's high game with a 229, and high series was earned by Ken M. Wilson with a 553. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 1 & 2: Team 3 kept stealing sips of beer from Top Guns. Although topped by Bill Krejci with his below-average 416 series, Team 3 got swept by Top Guns. While that was going down, Pat Searcy called the shots for Top Guns with his 545 as they swept the competition. Team 3 remains in 4th place, while Top Guns move 1 spot to 1st.

Finally, down on lanes 3 & 4: Team 2 took turns kicking the ball return with Fab Four. Though reinforced by Jeff Gragg with his splendid 517 series, Team 2 accomplished only 1 win against Fab Four. In the meantime, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Ken M. Wilson laid down the law in Fab Four with his commanding 553 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Dennis Laube) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Team 2 remains in 3rd place, while Fab Four sinks 1 spot to 2nd.

Bowlers enjoying a guest admission to The 200 Club include: Dennis Laube (200), Ken M. Wilson (205), and Pat Searcy (229)

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 1&2, 1st-place Top Guns will compete against 3rd-place Team 2. Top Guns are expected to drop their averages like a brick, but split the series with Team 2; while Team 2 is forecast to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 3&4, 2nd-place Fab Four (hcp 419) will meet with 4th-place Team 3. Fab Four is predicted to see a pretty significant "market correction" to their averages as they get swept; while Team 3 is anticipated to drop their average a bit even as they rack up a sweep.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
