Spring 2002 Week 3 Robo-RecapBy now every team has bowled each other once, so next week is the Spring 2002 position round. But enough about next week, you came here to read about this week. A stagnated third week resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (187) and series (472) for the women, while Bob Brunker earned this week's high game (226) and series (596) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 1 & 2: Team 2 spent some quality time with Team 3. Highlighting the skills of Angela Bradford with her powerful 472 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Deena Slinkard, Team 2 collected 3 wins against Team 3. Conversely, Bill Krejci guided Team 3 with his below-average 453 despite his team notching only a single win. Team 2 remains in 3rd place, while Team 3 remains in 4th.

Finally, down on lanes 3 & 4: Fab Four faced off against Top Guns. Although topped by Ken M. Wilson with his stunning 525 series, Fab Four accomplished only 1 win against Top Guns. Countering this, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Bob Brunker called the shots for Top Guns with his stupendous 596 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Fab Four remains in 1st place, while Top Guns remain in 2nd.

Bowlers ducking past the bouncer at The 200 Club include: Bob Brunker (226), Ken M. Wilson (202), Pat Searcy (201), and Phil Schroeder (225)

New personal high games were set tonight by Phil Schroeder (225, previous best 202) and Bob Brunker (226, previous best 203). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Phil Schroeder (519, previous best 476) and Bob Brunker (596, previous best 553).

The 226 rolled by Bob Brunker is the new 3rd-best men's game in league history!
The 596 rolled by Bob Brunker is the new 3rd-best men's series in league history!

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 1&2, 4th-place Team 3 will challenge 2nd-place Top Guns (hcp 419). Team 3 is expected to roll a little low, yet still manage to sweep the series; while Top Guns are forecast to see their team average take a dive while they endure a rough night.
  • Finally, on lanes 3&4, 3rd-place Team 2 will throw some gutter balls with 1st-place Fab Four. Team 2 is predicted to see their averages fall off a cliff, but split the series with Fab Four; while Fab Four is anticipated to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)

Posted by BowlingBot On February - 11 - 2002ADD COMMENTS

Spring 2002 Week 1 Robo-RecapThe Spring 2002 season is now underway, with four teams entering the 11-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (162) and series (418) for the women, while Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (194) and series (493) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 1 & 2: Fab Four alternated between bowling and dry humping Team 2. Topped by #1 Power-Ranked Dennis Laube and his 471 series, Fab Four collected 3 wins against Team 2. As for the opposition, Angela Bradford ruled Team 2 with her 418 despite her team notching only a single win. Fab Four starts out in 2nd place, while Team 2 starts off with 4th.

Finally, down on lanes 3 & 4: Team 3 deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Top Guns. Despite being led by Bill Krejci with his stunning 488 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler No one, Team 3 accomplished only 1 win against Top Guns. On the other side, Pat Searcy commanded Top Guns with his 493 (with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler ) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Team 3 leaves the gate in 3rd place, while Top Guns begin in 1st.

Bowlers ducking past the bouncer at The 200 Club include: No one at all. We sucked.

A new personal high game was set tonight by Bill Krejci (189, previous best 178). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Bill Krejci (488, previous best 440).

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 1&2, 3rd-place Team 3 will match wits with 2nd-place Fab Four. Team 3 is expected to tank their averages considerably, but split the series with Fab Four; while Fab Four is forecast to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 3&4, 1st-place Top Guns will throw some gutter balls with 4th-place Team 2. Top Guns are predicted to drop their averages like a brick, but split the series with Team 2; while Team 2 is anticipated to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
